Can't go wrong

Originally I was looking at purchasing a V-shaped guitar and settled on the new Schecter V. Thank god I noticed the unsightly smaller upper wing and abandoned that idea. Then I decided to give a 7 string a try and played 2 Ibanez's, 2 Schecters and an LTD for comparison sake. The Schecter blew those away in tone, neck feel, and finish. I ordered the ATX (not one I played previously) and was stunned taking it out of the box. It was in tune. The finish flawless. The Duncan Blackouts alone are one of the best features - that's coming from a hardline EMG player. They blow the EMG's in my other 3 guitars away.
I've had it for 3 months now and can hardly put it down. I have come to love the 7th string and it makes playing a little less boring. This is my 2nd Schecter and I think they have now made me fully brand-loyal with this guitar and I'll look to them first in the future when the guitar-buying syndrome strikes again. Excellent guitar and great value for your money !

I plugged this guitar in a few weeks ago in a local music shop and I was instantly blown away.
Everything about this axe is astounding, you can not beat the quality for the price. The tone is very clear and it has heaps of sustain. I rarely have to play with the tuning, something I can't say for some of my higher value guitars. It stacks up with the best of the best, try it and buy it!

I have been wanting to expand my horizons, so to speak, and veer off into a different type of music and style of playing. Possiblities! I'm used to playing my '78 Strat. I think since I've bought it I have not been disappointed overall. The intonation is excellent. These are easy to play and not tempermental as my strat. It is very well constructed and worth the money. I ordered the vintage black and I really liked it. I was unsure at first if I was going to like it since I bought it online but I'm glad I did. It looks evil and mean with the black hardware! I have small hands compared to other players and I have not had a problem adjusting to the neck. It's just like a different girlfriend you have to adjust to. She has her different qualities, good and not so good. I'm use to the strats and les pauls having their distinct voice and feel when you play it on a clean channel. One thing that disappointed me was that this guitar on a clean channel sounds somewhat sterile. It has no distinct sound or voice like a strat or les paul or other guitars. However, with the technology nowadays you can process your guitar sound however you want it. I personally like to hear the personal tone of the guitar on a clean channel to see what the girl looks like without all that makeup. Another thing that disappointed me was the cheesy lightning bolt that is not even abalone. It looks like it was just painted on there. It would have been excellent to have an abalone but that is my preference. Aesthetics is all but this does not affect the playing. I play this through my '71 Marshall halfstack and a Gx65 Crate that is my "throw down" amp. If you are looking to play heavy rock and metal this is a damn good guitar for the price. Just the hardware alone is worth the money; ebony neck, blackout active pickups, mahogany body, maple neck.

I usually play this guitar through my ZW-Micro Stack and a Metal Muff stomp box. I love playing metal on this thing. It's a win win situation. It offers the seventh string for anyone who wants to play lower stuff without tuning down, which also allows you to use the high E string for soloing if you need it no matter how low the rhythm goes. Also, even if you dont use the last string too much, it still features the new Blackout pickups! These pickups are by far the best I've used in my 11 years of playing guitar. This guitar's definitly worth the money, and is worth at least being looked at seriously by anyone who wants to push their playing skills farther.
