I bought this guitar about a year ago and let me tell you, this is the best sounding guitar I own or ever played! I have four other guitars (2 fenders, an Ibanez, a Garrison), and this one by far has the best tone and crunch. I play alot of metal and punk music and this bad girl can do it all! Not to metion it looks insane! Definately worth the money, and my next guitar will for sure be a Schecter. I would recommend this to anyone who loves playing guitar, especially metal or punk rock.

I got this about a year ago and have played it onstage and in the studio. I am replacing the pickups for EMG's but I was actually amazed at the Duncan Designed pickups sound. Its actually pretty good. But it could be better. For the value its awesome. It has very solid pots and the switch can take a pounding and still sounds good. Very quiet too. I hear a slight pop when I hit the switch in a studio setting. I have punished this guitar over the last year on stage to really give it a road test. It hold up as good or better than any of my other guitars. Grover machines are very smooth and the finish is flawless. The neck is a bit sticky at first but give it a while and it will smooth right up. The slightly arched top is easy to rest your hands on for palm mutes and navigating thru pinch harmonics. When it arrived It was in tune and the intonation was spot on! I would recommend a good case for it if you want to keep it nice. I would recommend a Gator standard electric case as I don't care for Schecters cases. If you are looking to play clean electric this will work ok but there are better options, but... if you are looking for a full-on metal/rock machine of high quality that wont break the bank, this is it. Its a C-1 and is comparable to any of the others in the C-1 series. BUY IT. It may be on back order tho. Wait. Its worth it.

It sounds really good. Glossy black attracts fingerprints like a magnet. The battery cover is plastic. And that is why I gave quality a 4.5. Overall it's a very good choice for anyone who plans on playing heavy music.

I have this guitar, except mine has a floyd rose on it. This guitar is freaking awesome! The only reason I give it a 4.5 on features, is because they should have put black outs in instead of the duncan designed hb-105's. In my opinion they are almost the same, but I just like the peace of mind that my guitar has all the best stuff on it! If your looking for a metal guitar that will kick your a**, this is it! Also this is thee best model for a set neck if you don't want to pay for a hellraiser. Don't settle for the exotic star or whatever else they have with a set neck, because the rest of the features, and the paint job are usually no good! And the red and black look killer, slap some DR red devils on it and wow, you have one nice presentable guitar!

This guitar has the power to either knock you off your feet or woo the women with soft undertones. If your a metal guy though this guitar is perfect for you because the neck moves fast and it can scream bloody murder. Also if you turn off your distortion and crank up the reverb and put on a nice blues undertone you can get just the right sound for some old school music.
