I bought this guitar 3 years ago and it is still my go-to axe! Schecter puts all the best features into thier guitars that you would find on the most expensive Gibsons! My next axe is going to be the Hellraiser, and when Schecter does it again for lefties I'll be throwing money at it immediately!

STILL impressed with this instrument. After 3 years of playing this guitar, I've gotta say that it sings better than the day I got it. This is a guitar that is very playable by nature, and after a little tweaking here and there, I've got the perfect action and tone out of it for my tastes. 5-way switch is great. These pickups, mahogany body and through-body string set-up gives a very round, full sound. My other guitar is a totally rebuilt (by myself) Epi Les Paul, and despite my months of work on it, the Schecter still plays easier and sounds more "professional." Oh, and it's a lefty... a smart buy.

I got my Schecter C-1 Artist Limited Edition Left-Handed Guitar in the mail a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, the "pearl" binding on the body was yellowed... not a great first impression. The neck binding is fine but the yellowing on the body is really obvious. I was tempted to put it right back in the mail at that point. Then I played it. Wow! The action is fast and smooth. It's got sustain for days. In 14-plus years of playing this is the sweetest-playing guitar I've found. The controls are fairly basic and the guitar is light and comfortable. The pickups could be a little hotter, but at this price I can't complain. Although the cosmetic defect detracts from the overall value, I'm still completely in love with this guitar. If sound, playability and price are your priorities, you won't be disappointed with this guitar.

I play left handed guitars strung for right handed players. I received this and although I coudn't play it right out of the box, I could tell the set up was fairly good. I had to furnish my own nut and re-do the bridge. After that, I have put this guitar through HELL the last 6 months that I have had it. Sweaty gigs, practices and everything else. It has held up nicely. The tones are great (thanks Seymour Duncan) and the Tone Pro's bridge makes life a lot easier. I really have no complaints other than the pickup selector switch could be higher quality for my tastes.

All the good things you’ve read about this guitar are true. I used to play a Les Paul, but switched to the C-1 Artist after a ‘mishap’ with my old guitar. I’m glad I did. It feels better in my hands (the ultra-access neck is flawless) and it sounds better than my Les Paul also. I mainly use it with the DigiTech Metal Master pedal through either a Marshall or Behringer amp and it just seems to scream, the tone is perfect. However, it’s not only a metal machine. The guitar produces one of the best clean tones I’ve ever heard making it a good choice for either a starting or advanced musician of any genre. And yes, the binding makes it difficult to see fret markers at first, but after using it for a few weeks I became so used to the guitar that I stopped using the markers altogether. All in all it’s a great guitar and well worth every penny.
