Aged White

The Schecter BlackJack ATX C-1 is an electric guitar that is so comfortable to play, it almost becomes an extension of your body. An arched mahogany string-through body and 3-piece mahogany set neck with Schecter's Ultra Access heel contour give the BlackJack C-1 stunning stage presence.

The Blackjack ATX C-1 electric guitar features Seymour Duncan active Blackouts humbuckers. These are 9-volt pickups designed for aggressive playing styles; especially good for old school metal, garage, punk, thrash, drop tunings, and other heavy rock styles. The Blackouts' balanced inputs capture the tone that players want in an active design, providing more lows, more highs, more tone period.

The Blackjack ATX C-1 guitar's ebony fingerboard features an Active Bolt inlay at the 12th fret, like a warning label for just how much power your electric guitar is packing. Grover tuners, a TonePros Tune-o-matic-style bridge and a GraphTech lubricating nut keep you in tune and maximizes sustain. Aged multiply binding is an excellent frame for the BlackJack's high-class aged finish.

When I first pulled it out of the box, I was struck dumb. This guitar has to be one of the most beautiful guitars I have ever seen. Its craftsmanship is superb, as Schecter has once again made a beautiful instrument

The real test was to see how it plays though. When I plugged it into my amp, the Blackouts blew me away. They blow EMGs out of the water!

The neck is smooth, as you can't go wrong with an ebony fretboard. The right choice of wood and materials make this guitar and excellent choice.

I do not regret the money I spent on this amazing guitar. It feels like an extension of my body. This is a must buy for anyone looking to play metal.

BUY IT!!!!!!!

Eh, not so good

I recently got the C1 Blackout and to say the least, I wasn't impressed. I'm a huge Schecter fan and I own a special edition Sunset Hellraiser FR with EMG 81 and 85's. I was looking for something without a Floyd Rose and so I decided to try this.

I was pretty disappointed. For starters, the notch in the tonepros bridge didn't hold my E string in place. So it kept popping off. Secondly, these "Blackouts" pickups people praise so much really aren't any better than EMG. Infact, I found them to be a lot worse. EMG's have sharper, more clear sound while these were pretty messy. Also, the clean sounded absolutely terrible. Just plain bad. EMG's show ownership on all levels.

The guitar itself kinda feels like a toy to me, its very light weight, smaller frets.

A great guitar by far! The sustain is great and I love the blackouts. For me, they sound much better than the emgs. Anyone that plays metal this is a must have. At first, it was a little much....but once you figure out your settings according to the output it is amazing. If you play alot of clean I wouldn't recommend this guitar. Rock on.

I have owned this guitar for almost a year now and I can't say I found much wrong with it. It is simply a metal guitar. The SD Blackouts groan, squeal, and have amazing sustain. I probably won't go back to EMG's after this guitar. Nothing about the guitar has gotten under my skin yet, and I don't think it ever will. The only drawback to this guitar is playing clean - its simply not made for that. Just buy strat or something of your looking to play clean alot, but if your wanting to melt faces, this is the guitar to buy!

I'm getting the FR version

I just played this guitar today, and it is a great guitar. Very nice price you get more for what you pay for. The sound is amazing, it has a growl to every little note you play, and because of the sustain...every note will last more than 30 seconds. Perfect for thrash, well... any form of metal, and even some good ol' classic rock tones. I'm going to drop down a little more cash and get the Aged White ATX FR. You will not be disappointed if you buy it.
