Ok, so here's the deal. This one of the best guitars I have ever owned, I got it used for $220 and it was totaly worth it. My only complaint is that the single coil neck pick up hums and buzzes like crazy, although I rarely ever use the neck pick up on any of my guitars so this is not a huge deal. I also recomend getting a 7th string out of a set of strings gaged higher than the rest. For example, a pack of .10s with a .60 for your 7th string (as opposed to the regular .56-.58), as this seems to improve clarity and tuning stability, especialy for D and C standard tunings
Bottom line is that this is not just a great 7 string, but a great guitar period.

I bought this guitar used from a friend of mine in Cali since he was ordering a custom job from Carvin (and frankly, who wouldn't give up ANY guitar they own for a custom Carvin). This guitar is ridiculous. It plays almost as well as my USA Jackson, at ANY tuning. I've literally had to make no neck adjustments through all gauges of strings I've experimented with. I cannot recommend this guitar strongly enough for the price. Buy, buy, BUY. You will NOT find a better 7-string for the value. The only issue I have with this guitar is the pickups, I would recommend swapping them out. I received the guitar with a different lower-output bridge pickup installed, and it still plays super heavy, so I can only imagine how unholy this guitar would sound with a high-gain pickup thrown in.

This is a great guitar. I really like schecter for the feel and look they have and this is probably the nicest feeling, best looking guitar I've played. The set neck and finish(I have the black cherry) make it seem like it should be much more expensive than it is. The neck is very smooth, the frets seem flawless as well. Since all my other guitars have double humbuckers, it's nice to have the single coil in the neck and the tap option at the bridge without having to go for a Strat(I hate Fenders). The pickups are a little disappointing though. They are very warm and great for clean playing but I don't really like them for heavy gain. They don't have enough attack and definition for speedy rhythm and soloing. They're ok for rock and blues but if you play heavier genres of metal I recommend switching them out. I'll be swapping mine for a DiMarzio D Activator(br) and a Blaze single coil at the neck.
Over all its a great buy for a mid-level 7 string.

This guitar is one of the nicest guitars I've ever played, and it is the nicest 7-string I've played. Really good sound and feel to it. I recommend having a professional set up the action for it though in order to get that low B to sound just right. Other than that, this guitar is awesome. Now when I try to go back to 6-string electrics they feel so tiny!

First off, Im a picky guitar player. But when I played this guitar, I instanly fell in love with it. Has a beautiful body, great sound, everything. The only thing I would change on the guitar would be the pick-up set up. I would've had 2 humbuckers. And 2, the price... it's a little expensive for me. But after I play it, I just want it even more. This is a great guitar to get.
