Microcube speaker problems

There is problem in the 5" speaker used : it distorts at low frequencies 100-130 hz (G to B flat) (search internet, called "microcube farting"). It appears to be a common problem with these units. I have replaced the speaker and the new one does the same thing. Roland will not acknowledge that this problem exists even thought its talked about on all over the web.

Its a good little amp but this is an very irritating problem and to have Roland completely ignore an obvious design problem is annoying and will prevent me from buying another Roland product.

This amp is amazing. I got one for Christmas and it was phenomenal. The effects sound great, and the distortion is great. And you can even run it on batteries. If your looking for a good little amp, get this one.

Best little battery-powered amp ever.

You will not be disappointed with this little guy. I use it in an all-battery-powered blues trio that likes to do summer beach sunset jams. We run the bass through a 30W Pignose, and utilize a Yamaha drum pad with onboard speakers for the percussion.

Before I bought the Roland, I was using one of those miniature Marshalls with a 3" speaker that clips to your belt. Fortunately, it gave out on me, and an astute salesman talked me into trying the Micro-Cube. Holy Moley! Simply no comparison to any of the other little battery devices I have had over the years. As others have pointed out, it's not perfect, but close enough to earn all 5's from me.
