Not Bad

I bought this amp a few years ago when I was still pretty new to the gigging scene. It seemed adequate at the time and still is in working order. My main problem I found is with the built in reverb. I don't really like EQ modelers, or reverb pedals. I really found that this amp's reverb has a very "digital" quality, especially after I bought a Vox AC30. Now I'm looking to get a Fender for a signal speaker amp that I can use for gigging. Don't get me wrong, my Roland still functions just about as new, and has never given me any real problems. It's just a matter of taste. It's a durable amp for sure.

I've always had big amps so I bought this to have a small, lightweight amp for small gigs. First of all, this is a serious gigging amp with more power and a bigger sound than you would think could come such a small box. I was skeptical about the whole modeling thing, but this little sucker sounds great! Between the JC Clean and the Black Panel that's all I need. You can't go wrong with this amp.

Best little amp I've ever owned

I've been playing through my Roland Cube 60 for over a year now, and it is hands down the best amp I've ever owned, and I've owned many. Lightweight, tough as nails, I've dropped it real hard several times with no problems whatsoever. Great for jams, grab n go, no fiddling around, and LOUD as all git out. I only use the Tweed model, the volume halfway up, and it just screams. I also bought a 1 x 12 cabinet because this amp supports it, and it really fills up the room. Most of the time though, I just use it alone, occassionally running the line out to the p.a. for larger venues, with fantastic results. Excellent bass response, always shocked at how much volume comes out of this tiny box. I get lots of 'wows' from the other players. No more stupid tubes to mess with and replace, it always sounds exactly the same no matter what gig I use it on. This is my first Roland amp, and I won't have any other brand, considering getting another one as a back up, or using them both at the same time. My buddy has been playing guitar through a Roland JC Chorus, but he says his Roland Cube 60 is much better sounding. I use mine for Blues Harp, with very, very satisfying results. Roland has figured out a way to get tube tone out of a solid state amp. I wasn't looking for the cheapest amp, just one that was loud with a usable tone, and one that didn't break your back and this amp is it. This Cube 60 is no toy, it will keep up with the Fender and Marshall boys, and works in any situation, blues, acoustic, rock, jazz, or heavy metal. In over a year of playing out, I've never had one problem or issues with this rock solid, solid state little screamer.

Loud, Durable, and Super Awesome!

I've been looking for a solid, durable, great sounding amp at a decent price for quite some time. I was beginning to think that it wasn't going to happen. Then I stumbled upon the Roland Cube 60. I'm a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so a modelling amp is not what I was intending on purchasing. I had tried the Vox modelling amps, but when I played through this amp, I was blown away.

Its got 9 models and some cool effects, but in my opinion the effects are pretty much 1 dimensional and I would probably never use them anyway, so they mean nothing to me. The models, on the other hand, are great. The acoustic model sounds pretty cool, but I won't use it. Black Panel, on the other hand, is my main choice of model. This thing is crystal clear with some sweet tone. Turn up the gain for a slightly dirtier sound. My favorite. I use this on stage with an Ibanez Tube Screamer and it sounds amazing.

This amp is LOUD! Before I received my amp, I purchased a 2x12 extension cabinet with the intent of using it for larger shows. I don't need it. That is all I'm going to say about that.

I'm not going to go into detail about the other models. All I'm going to say is that this amp has some great sounds. Like previously stated, on stage I use the Black Panel with my own 2 or 3 pedals, but, I record a variety of styles of music for fun and this amp can do whatever I need to get the tone and feel I'm looking for.

This is great little amp. Its loud, durable, has some excellent models and is inexpensive. Do yourself a favor and pick this thing up.
