I am a previous owner of a swr strawberry blonde.. and I am very happy with my new Roland AC-60. First off, it is quiet. at any setting. chorus is great, wide setting is awsome. delay adds to the sound nicely but don't expect a separate pedal effect on this.. I have a uke with a passive pick up and thought I was going to need a pre-amp but in piezo mode it works great. plenty of volume, and I have yet to get this amp to feedback. it has more functions than anything in it's price range. with the subwoofer hooked up it will blow your mind!!! I demo'd a fender acoustisonic 30, ultrasound ag50 ds4 and cp-100, marshall as50d and this is what I bought. I could not be happier. the sound is truly amazing. carrying case included.

If youre looking for a handy, light wheight and proffesional sound amp, this is it, for studio recording, for a small gig or a big concert you have it, with all the features like a feedback controller, the separate equalizers for guitar and microphone its just a great thing. seriously, no problem with this wonder, I just love it. When I bought it like a year ago I tried different acoustic guitars with it, and I can say it wasn't the guitar, it was the amp. If you have the money, get this amp.

It made a big difference

I play my Martin HD-28 in a variety of professional settings and I have tried a lot of different ways to get that natural Martin sound to come out over the PA. Mics don't cut it in a loud room, or with a larger band. I didn't want to cut a hole in my Martin or alter it any other way by putting a permament pickup in there. So I now use this amp with a Seymour Duncan woody. It really, really does the trick. I run the line-out of the back to our PA so the Roland actually serves as the direct box. It has a great sound and is really easy to use. One point I would make is that I find I need some kind of extra pedal device or pre-amp that can give me some gain, or else the Seymour Duncan is pretty quiet. I use the ART tube pre-amp/direct box. Also, I've used it with a big-muff for when we do some acoustic versions of Hendrix and it sounds really good. The delay and chorus settings on the amp are great but I find I want a little bit of help from a tube pre-amp to warm-up my sound, since we play a lot of old Dead, CSNY type stuff that has a crunch feel. In short, this is a really fine amp. If you play professionally it will make a big difference in the quality of your sound, and the ease of your set-up. If you are all clean all the time, this might be all you need. If you do some different styles, it's still a great amp but you will probably want a well-selected pedal or two to help your sound.

Good amp if you don't blow it.

I love the convience of this small amp, and the sound was great, especially when used it with a subwolfer. The subwolfer adds some depth which I felt the amp lacked. I never play very loud, yet I have blown a speaker within a year. My brother says I can take it apart and change the speaker. He's more electrically inclined than I am though. I'm not sure I would recommend this amp though because it didn't hold up very well, and when you use a subwolfer with it, the advantage of the small amp is lost. But I will say the sound was great, and I will change the speaker.

I have owned this amp for several years now. It is an amazing product. If I could afford it right now, I would buy another one and use it for PA and Guitar. I play a Celebrity Ovation through this and the tone is fantastic. I use this all the time. It also has an output that allows me to plug it into other amps or a larger PA system.
