bought this guitar in march 2009 as a starter.im'50ish and i did'nt want to spend a lot of money on something i might not stick with.i've been very happy with this guitar.it holds tune well, and the finish looks nice for a"cheap"guitar. i had the action lowered and that seemed to help some.i've since bought an ibanez acoustic/electric but i'm going to keep this to take on trips, backup, ect. good guitar to learn on

I purchased a RG-624 as my first guitar to learn how to play. Since I wasn't sure if this was something I really wanted to pursue, I decided to purchase something inexpensive. That was a mistake. The guitar looks nice with a good solid finish, has nice sound. Mine came with D'Addario strings instead of the Martins listed in the description, but they sound good. The problem with this guitar is in the details. The action on this guitar is more than double what it should be and was killing my fingers. Compared to other models, the nut is very high. When you looked in the sound hole you could tell it was very cheaply made and while the bridge of other models is nicely shaped and smoothed, on this model it looked like a piece of scrap wood that was painted and glued on. I ended up exchanging mine for a Yamaha which has substantially better construction. If you can afford it, I'd recommend purchasing something better.

As an instrument to learn on, this one is first rate. Tunes up nicely. The action is very easy on the fingers. The finish is flawless. In every way a fine guitar. You don't have to spend a lot to get a quality first guitar. I love mine!

When I got this guitar, I instantly thought it was a beauty, the finish really looks nice. I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The guitar sounds great, its no Martin, but it holds its own. Great looks and sound aside, the actual quality of the guitar isn't the best, but what can you expect for such a price. Overall, this guitar is great for beginners, or for guitarists who are looking for a guitar to rough around with. I was very impressed with this guitar, and its definitely worth the money, highly recommended.

When I got my guitar, fit and finish was excellent. The guitars sound is very good. I had to tighten the nut on all the tuners thou. For the price I think it was a very good buy, for the time being until I get alot better this one will do.
