Although I wish this guitar came with a pickup, I ordered a pickup for it. So for the price of the guitar itself, a good pickup, and the installation of the pickup, this setup is still less expensive than any 12-string with a pickup built-in that I can find on this site, or anywhere for that matter.
The sound is warm and full and projects well. It has good sustain too, it will hold a note for an impressive duration after you stop strumming - the sound has a pretty slow "decay rate". This is a small-bodied guitar with a big sound. The action was FANTASTIC right out of the box, extremely low, and its easy to play. Came with D'Addario strings and they sound great. This guitar stays in tune, once you get it there - getting it in tune the first time was a bit of a doozy, just cuz as your tuning it up the tension changes so it takes about 3 times before it finally stays in tune. But thats not the guitar's fault just the nature of the beast.
I gave it a 4 for features since there's no pickup. Also I can tell the tuning keys leave something to be desired, one of them in particular took way more turning to affect the pitch of the string than the rest, like they slip sometimes rather than always being tight like you get on really good tuning keys. I don't think the tuners are total junk nor that they detract from the value of this guitar, theyre just not "top notch". But I'm happy with every cent I spent on this pretty guitar. Believe me, you should get one if you don't have a 12-string. How can you say no for this price?!
I took the pick guard off immediately, since I dont scratch my guitars hardly at all when playing anyway. It came off without leaving any glue marks on the finish, its got a non-solidifying adhesive holding it on there. I think it looks way more like a "fine instrument" now. The finish is nice, ( I got the natural colored one) and I like the color of the stain for the wood. Its mellow. This guitar smells nice too, like freshly cut wood.
I just love the ethereal effect that is so easily achieved with a 12-string. This is the ticket my friends. You get major bang for your buck with this pretty little instrument. Add one to your garden of sound today!
Awesome Deal

I wrote one review but wanted to add this. It is an AWESOME enough Guitar that I have also added an undersaddle Pick-up (thinline type) and control panal and so I lowered the action a tad-bit more the stock at that time. I just installed Ebony End-Pins and the New Grover Gold Mini-Tuner set with new set of D'Addario (all I've used on all of my guitars for many years) EJ-38 strings this last week. WOW again, it rings and sings, and it's indeed a keeper! I suggest that you buy yourself an SKB Molded or hard case to protect it(fits Puuurrrrfectly), I did, and it's worth the investment. The overall Playability, Tonal Quality and the Austhetics are the reasons she is a keeper for me. Make the investment, you won't be sorry. Remember, most Guitars require some set up out of the box depending on preferance.

3rd year with the black finish 12 string that I cannot stop playing. People said you cant do this on a 12 or that on a 12. I show them wrong bar chords, power chords, single notes(though this is a bit tricky) it all sounds good. Gave away 2 other guitars sold my electric all I have is this 12 string and a Dean Ak48 both of which are OUTSTANDING instruments. With any guitar you run the risk of bad ones infact I had returned 4 other rogue 12 strings because of faults but I saw the beauty that this thing could bring and finally got one that was set up low low out of the box. Changed the string to a silk and steel set. Purely jaw dropping sound that can be loud enough to be played in a bar with a full band.
This is great for the money

This guitar realy surprised me. It is worth way more than what MF has it for. No its no taylor or Gibson, but its really good. The only flaw with it is the action is a little high but still playable. I recommend getting one.
Great buy for great sound

I had not owned a 12-string in over 25 years and upon receiving this one was greatly impressed for the price. I ordered theblack to match my Rogue Classic Spider resonator and other instruments. Played great right out of the box except for issue with ragged frets. A friend in repair business took care of that with a fret file. I have bought a 12-string capo and tuned it down a half step and used the capo. Made a great difference. Have a set of D'andrea brass tone pins I'm installing this week along with new strings. Should greatly improve volume and sustain. Bass is just right balance with the treble. I also go tthe Musicians Gear Drednaut gig bag and it fits beautifully in there. Being Blind, the backstrap type straps will help in my using my cane in travelin'. Buy it, its the best bargain around in today's economy and you'll like the sound with a little tweaking.
