I got this amp so I could play my electric in a group class made up mostly of acoustics. For that is works pretty well, and the clean sound is a little low but good. The distortion sound is not bad and a lot of fun for an amp this small.

My complaints about the amp are I'm not sure the Tone control is doing anything, and I don't like the on/off switch. They should have just put the switch in the input jack, because if you unplug the guitar the amp stays on.

It will give some decent sound to your electric guitar, and it's very portable, but if you are buying this to save money on a real amp keep saving.

Fantastic portable amp - hard to believe the power at full volume - then kick in the distortion and it is wild, I had to lower the tone back some with the distortion on, but still fantastic. The clean tone was absolutely wonderful at all volumes and even the bass/treble pot worked great. This is a fantastic amp and for the price it is SUPER. Works great with headphones also. Also has a larger speaker, and more wattage, than Fender's mini, and it is a more compact unit overall. THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY. My only complaint (not enough to downgrade the rating) was the cheesy FAKE handle molded into the top of the case. OK, style over function and trying to make it look cool and you really don't need a handle on an item this small - SO WHY EVEN FAKE IT. Also why bother including that Chinese battery - replace it with a good battery immediately to be safe. Now when camping I can sit around the campfire and play an electric, how cool is that.

I was looking into something portable for practice around the house. Looked into smokey mini amp, Roland cube ect ... This lil amp is pretty good 4 what it does. Has vol/tone/on, clean, OD .. sound is pretty decent for its size and it's 5watts so you can hear it well. With vol/tone all the way up u get a decent distortion. Plastic casing/knobs, mesh speaker cover, belt clip. Get an adapter and connect to your mp3, plenty loud for that. Good over all purchase.
