i found this pedal to be pretty good but i think it has alot of highs and low bass maxium level.the mids sometimes can make or break a pedal well this pedal had some unfavorable mid freq. and the reg mids were good but.I liked this pedal alot but not enough to replace the old ones(metalzone, distortionfactory, death metal, metal master, tonezone)this pedal could be for you but it's more blizzard of oz then master of puppets not enough mids and low with out effecting the tone and a bit too much highs.

I gave a review on this pedal a while ago and mentioned a morse code type sound... figured out what it was. My cell phone was interfering with my gear. This pedal is a great sounding distortion if you're into metal. No feedback, hum or any other problems that some pedals have. I also own a Digitech Death metal and the Rocktron is miles above it. Do not hesitate to buy this. It's a very versatile and outstanding pedal. I run it with an ESP LTD MH250 into a Randall RX120D and it shakes the room when I kick this thing on and turn it up. No joke. Buy it.

It's a pretty decent pedal, not my dream distortion though, still looking. The sound out of this pedal is a little thin, so what I did was hook my MXR 10 band EQ pedal up to it and toyed with it and POW!! balls out distortion. EQ pedal and this pedal combined can give you one hell of a sound. Pretty damn satified with the sound now.
