The Rickenbacker 360 Electric Guitar broke all the rules when it appeared amidst the British sound of the 1960s. Subtly updated through the years, this deluxe semi-hollowbody with its special contour around the entire body perimeter is incredibly comfortable. The unique body shape and rosewood fingerboard inlaid with triangular pearloid markers offer rich, retro visuals. The maple neck has dual truss rods while single-coil pickups deliver everything from clean tone to biting overdrive. Controls include volume and tone via a 3-way selector for each pickup. A master preset allows tone and volume settings to be accessed instantly with a toggle. Stereo output is standard with the Rickenbacker 360.

This is the sickest guitar I have ever played. You can get so many different sounds out of this instrument. It sounds great clean or distorted. It even sounds great played through a bass amp and bass distortion. This is a great guitar if you have the money, I highly recommend this instrument.

The rickenbacker 360 has more features than a standard guitar having the Rick-O-Sound which is a cool feature. The sound itself is very original and distinct to other guitars. The quality alone is fantastic, if you hold one in your hands it has a completely different feel than a typical ax, Strat, tele, les paul, normal stuff. I really wanted an ES-335 but when I played the 360, I just had to have it. This is a great guitar and honestly for the quality the money really isn't all that bad considering the top notch strats and les pauls I've played around the same price or more so. Being an american guitar as well, its amazing the quality difference as opposed to all the junk guitars from foreign. I still play my les pauls and I'm all ready got my eyes set on a 50's strat to complete my sound. But I love the Rick and its my number one. Plus when people see it you will always get a compliment. There's no way I buy a different semi-hollow unless its a rick.

Went to a local dealer, said it would take 4-6 months to get a 360. I got my Rick from Musicians Friend. My 360 in Mapleglo was in stock and I got it in 3 days. It's a terrific guitar, very easy to. Perfect neck. Sounds incredible. I always wanted a Rickenbacker, never thought I would be able to get one. Much thanks to Musicians Friend, awesome company to deal with. Top-notch. By the way, my next purchase a Rickenbacker 330 in Fireglo.

This guitar has a special place in rock and roll. The unique sound is a specialty. Nothing duplicates this sound. The playability is awesome and it is truly beautiful. I loved the action and it was visually superb. You need other axes to supplement, but you will not be disappointed.

Pain in the butt guitar

Don't get me wrong, this is a classic guitar with a classic sound. But, it's got some annoying quirks. As with many hollowbody electric guitars, the string tension holds the tailpiece and the bridge in place. If you take off all the strings, the hardware falls off. The tailpiece where the strings anchor is a poor design, besides falling off, the string end balls do not easily stay seated to the tailpiece during string changing. Both gravity and the bad design are working against you. The bridge itself is another design weakpoint. The intonation adjustment and height adjustment screws having threading problems over time. I have had lots of crackling with the both the standard and Rick-o-sound output jacks. The Schaller machine heads are over-rated and inaccurate. If you wanted to try replacement tuners, they don't match up to the Schaller screw holes. And finally, the finish is paper thin, and any small ding goes right to the wood of the guitar. You need to baby this guitar. It's more of a studio instrument or if you like the relic look, take it on the road!
