guys this is a great all round combo. it's so powerful, it's louder than my brother's randall rg200. I used this thing at a music festival at a 30 acre park and people all around that place heard me on 5. It goes great with a digitech RP55, AND A LPSTUDIO. If your looking for a great 1x12 combo this is it.

This amp has all the basics I need. It's loud, and has great sound quality. Not too big on features; you can control bass, treble, and mids, add reverb, and switch between clean and distortion. Oh, and there's a very easy to use built in tuner which I love. That's about it, though. Once you hook up one or more pedals to it, it's really perfect, but I wouldn't reccomend using this unless you have pedals available. Overall, this thing is loud, sounds nice, is affordable, but is not huge on features. Well worth the money, anyway.

Great blues combo

Well, I've read alot of comments that say the RG 60 is good for beginners, but I'd say it's a great amp for gigging musicians as well. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years and I have two vintage Fender amps. A 72 Princeton Reverb and a 74 Bandmaster Reverb that I modified into a combo amp. So on my hunt for a new amp I compared everything to that vintage Fender tone. New Fenders are pricey, and I dont care for the Peavey's or Crate's. The Vox VT50 came close but has too much stuff on it. Effects etc, and when I got it home the speaker farted out when I cranked it. When I tried the RG60 I was blown away by the Volume and the Tone. It's definitely loud enough to gig with if you're into blues, classic rock, Funk or Country. Not really for metal heads. But I suppose with an extension speaker cab and the right distortion pedal even metal player could use it.
I play a Texas Special Fat Strat and the tone is there on both channels and all pickups. Really glassy tone on the single coils with lots of pop and quack. And the humbucker rocks too. I'm used to simple barebones Fender amps, so I didnt want alot of features. But Channel switching is a beautiful thing.
The reverb is a little too transparent and when you turn it up it echoes too long. But it's not too bad at about 10 oclock. Tremolo would have made this amp perfect but at this price you cant get everything.
So, on the good side is its simplicity, Channel switching, lots of volume, great tone with awesome bottom end and a fantastic price.
The bad is so-so reverb, no trem, and needs a footswitch.
I'm keeping mine! Sure the tone isn't as great as a vintage Fender, but even the new Fenders dont sound as good as the vintage ones. Now I dont have to lug that monster sized Bandmaster around anymore. This amp is only a little heavier than my Princeton.
Buy it. You'll love it!

Bare Bones.

First of all this is a bare bones amp. I love it. Im so tired of all the effects and "digital" amp modeling crap....its actually really hard to find an amp like this. Well when I first played it everything was ok. The distortion lacked some depth. I changed the speaker to a Eminence 75w Black powder. And WOW!!!! totally changed. I play a schecter hellraiser c-1 to a tube king pedal strait to the amp...and it will def turn heads. This is a good practice amp. Gigging I guess I would prefer to push some more air than one 12. Overall this is a really great buy. If you have pedals and a decent preamp then this amp will let you figure your sound out with no problems.

I was kind of leary about buying something from a new company. I am very much pleased with the quality and the price of this amp. The clean channel is awesome-in my opinion. the lead channel is perfect for ac/dc type stuff. Anything heavier, just add a distotion pedal of some kind. The only issue I have is, once I play for awhile, I hear a popping sound. Don't know if it's a breakin period, or if it might be something else. Overall- the best $$$ I've ever spent on a guitar amp. Kudos.
