It's alright but I don't use it

The XTC is decent. I wouldn't recommend this module if your looking for that Death metal sound. It does have good gain but to me it's not good enough, overall it's decent for the price. If your looking for a module with a more modern metal gain you should get the 1086 and not this mod.

This preamp module is awesome. Sounds exactly like a Bogner. Very clear high gain with lots of sustain. No top hiss sound and not muddy. The Randall Preams are the best for your money. Why pay 3,500 when you can get more value by buying one of the Randall MTS preamps or head.
