Simply gorgeous look and tone

WOW - finally got to check one of these out, and really, the pictures do not do it justice. The carbon fibers actually sparkle, and with the clear-coat finis there's a depth that is almost holographic. It's very subtle though, not overpowering at all. And even the back of the neck is beautiful. It looks like snakeskin. The tone is amazing. Notes seem to jump out; there is a clarity that I don't hear from many other guitars.

My RainSong OM-1000 is a welcome addition to my guitar arsenal. I was immediately won over by the guitars light weight (you won't believe how light they are!) The feel of the graphite construction is really solid and smooth and the graphite looks equally sharp. The tone took a little getting used to, however. At first I found the sound to be a little unforgiving because it's SO pure and uncolored. I quickly realized that this is the beauty of the material and that purity is something I've really come to appreciate, especially when playing solo fingerstyle pieces. The stability of the graphite makes this my go to guitar for alternate tunings.

This is an extraordinary instrument. It is a joy to play, lively and expressive in a variety of styles, plugged or unplugged. I own a Dupont MD-50, but have to admit Gypsy Jazz sounds fantastic on the Rainsong, even if it doesn't look the part.
