This heavy duty stomp box has two pignose shaped controls, one for intensity and one for volume. It has "Extra Snort" and "Bypass" foot buttons. The bypass is "true" bypass so you don't lose any treble when it is switched off. The Extra Snort button takes it from an overdriven sound to a full blown distortion. The ads and instructions tell you to be careful using the Extra Snort feature as you could blow out you amp and when you hear it it's easy to believe that you could. The regular overdrive setting gives a nice rockin-blues sound that is driven up quickly with turns on the intensity knob. Hit the Extra Snort botton for screaming (and I mean SCREAMING) leads. My only critiques are the input and output jacks go in left and out right so it is opposite to my wah pedal, etc. I understand that in the future units will be right to left. The other critique is that a LED light would be nice. However, I have read that it has something to do with the true bypass feature and I'll take the bypass over the light. All in all a great pedal at a reasonable price.
