I just got this amp a few weeks ago and I've had some time to learn how to use it properly. this thing is amazing! I've used line 6 spiders just for the whole effects without stompboxes. the sound you get is horrible. don't even consider those. plus I hate the whole clean, crunch, metal, insane thing. its stupid. this amp really allows you to modify your tone. a lot of people claim this doesn't have the "tube sound" but dont listen to them i've played plenty of tube amps with much less of a "tube sound" than this. this amp has a wonderful tone and not just with metal tones but also clean blues tones. the A3 preset that comes with this is the perfect clean metallica tone (one, unforgiven3, nothing else matters, ect.) this thing is amazing for the money. its not a mesa boogie but anyone with a brain would find this and incredible and time saving considering no pedals or any of that stuff. ive had no problems with this amp so far. its awesome for gigs, really loud!!!!! buy it dont think about line 6 just buy this!

Not quite sure what the tubes are doing but it's not producing a Stand out in your face sound, Gets buried in a Band or in a recording, The USB is a cool Idea just doesn't work with Pro Tools and the Line out /Head phone jack is only 1/8" jack, The Line 6 Bogner Valve is Just as bad if not worse, so if your an Old School Tube guy like me stay away....

One of the worst amps I have heard. Worse than even line 6. what is peavey thinking? thin, ratty, digital garbage. Looks like a christmas tree. for children only.horrible.Why waste two tubes on this?

I just got this amp about 2 weeks ago, and it CRAZY! I was originally going to get the 120, but I talked out of it; but this is plenty. One of my favorite things about this amp is that you can save a sound if you find it sweet, actually you can save up to 12 sounds; but if you get sanpera II pedal right away, you can save up to 400 sounds!!! You can also edit the 11 effects and stomboxes, this is so you get the the perfect sound everytime! Also, with the auxiliary plug-in you can hook up your mp3 player or ipod and play along! And with the USB record out you can record a song right into the computer, then you can hook your microphone into the auxiliary and sing through the amp, put on CD and you've got your own song to give. There is only one thing I'm not fasicinated with, you have wait a couple minutes after turning it on before you can actually play so the tubes can warm up, but the sound that comes out makes up for it!!! I would suggest getting this instead of the 120 because it's only 52 lbs., aside from the 120s 71 lbs.

I own many amps, several considered to be the best in the world, and this amp blew me away. I LOVE IT! It is Solid State, BUT the distortion is ANALOG, unlike other similar amps, I would say it will emulate 90% PLUS of the sound of top amps, but this amp has features others don't; All Effects On Board (NICE), the clean channels are better than any amp I own, it rocks at any volume, you can play it at a low level without the sound suffering. On board tuner. I still can't believe this is only $300. According to my local (LARGE) Peavey they have had NO problems/returns on it. If this amp was $1000 I would still think it was a great value. This amp goes from practice to gig volume no problem and it is super light as far as amps go!!!! You can play this thing live and get tremendous tone! Don't Hesitate!
