i recently purchased this guitar, and was quite pleased with the playability. it has a very smooth quality to it, and its really easy to play fast riffs on it. i was surprised to see that it had active pickups and a set neck, for that price. the pickups are decent, but i found them a bit noisy, they were WAY to close to the strings, and needed some adjusting. it looks amazing, but im a little worried that the paint will chip off. it hasnt yet, but i wouldnt be surprised if it did. over all a great guitar, but it could use some better pickups.

First of all, this PXD series is not available in Mexico, so I had to buy it online, and it cost me twice the price, my bad, because I honestly think its not worth it..

PROS: 1. Neck. It has the best neck Ive played, its so thin and the frets are so low you can play very fast without having to overwork your fingers, that was the main problem I had with my other guitars. Ive been looking for a guitar with this kind of neck for years, I strongly recommend this to any metal player 2. Weight. Its very very light, so its pretty comfortable to run around the stage for hours without hurting your back. 3. Looks. Finally some company is making new shapes and looks for the guitars, I was getting bored of the same metal oriented stuff, but this shapes are truly diferent from what ive seen lately.

CONS 1 Paint job. Near the place where the neck and the body join, the paint job is absolute trash, it has even a lighter black color in there and the fret board is not covered well. 2 Noise. I think its because of the pickups, unfortunately as I said, I didnt have ebough money to buy the TRAGIC II model, so I bought this one .. it makes a lor of noise when not playing, but it stops when you touch the aluminum pickguard .. hopefully a pickup change will make it a lot better 3 Size. I dont know if its really a con, but in the images I thought it would be the size of a normal explorer, but its a whole lot smaller (kind of stratocaster-sized), and I love big guitars. 4 Gig bag. Its a regular shaped gig bag, not a coffin shaped gig bag, as I thought it would be. And it looks quite cheap .. hopefully it wont break when carrying it around.

Overall I think the pickups should be better for the original price, theyre active, btw.

I think its kind of worth its value, its not that cheap but its not a pro either, maybe the TRAGIC II is, it has emg pickups and different woods ...

anyway, the neck does it for me!
