I own the older style but I don't think anything has changed (except looks). I have owned it for over 3 years after buying it used and I have not had a problem yet. My friend has one too and both have held up great for years! Don't let the size fool you either, for what it is, this amp is loud. Good, solid investment.

Not for Recording

This amp has a great sound. I like the fact that its not cluttered with a bunch of fancy effects. The main reason I got this amp was because of the simulated line out. I wanted to be able to record and hear my Gibson through the amps speaker at the same time like I can on my Marshall half stack. I tried many different things but the simulated line out just wouldnt work for me. It would produce a really loud buzz on the clean and lead channels. I also tried many high quality cables. Still no luck. Maybe I just got a bad amp, but it seems like a lot of people have been having problems with peaveys circuitry not working properly. If I wasnt going to use this amp for recording on occassion, I would have kept it. I think I'll go with the line 6.

Peavey Envoy 110

I bought this amp last summer to replace my dual amp Marshall/Peavey setup. I needed something portable and durable and this seemed about right. I have played at least 10 shows with ibanez guitars and digitech pedals. The clean channel punches tone pretty heavily, maybe too much, but sounds great with tweaking. The lead channel has the three presets and they cover a good amount of ground. I have dropped it, left it in summer heat, and it has been rained on, works like new. Great Amp. Great Price

Nice Little Amp

I've been playing with this amp all day, and I have to say, It's great. It's loud, but not too loud. The clean channel is nice, lots of knobs so you can really dial in your tone. Distortion is pretty good, also, though I don't use it much. All in all, I think this a good amp for beginners or someone who wants a good amp for apartment playing.
