I love this amp! I just came home with it today. What a revelation. It over drives perfectly, so naturally, so organically. With my Les Paul Custom, I keep it in the clean channel and turn it up to 3 maybe 4 and perfect over drive. With my strat, it has the prettiest clean tone I have ever heard. Kind of punchy on the low, but bassy, and the highs are a delight, mellow but bright. I really am blown away by this amp.

I have owned this amp a couple of years now - real sweet. I purchased it specifically for my Parker Jazz Fly - the only amp with the 15 inch speaker that will give me a great bottom punch from this guitar. It, the Parker, just lacks the bottom punch out of anything with a 12 inch speaker/speakers. Also, the single 15 can hold its own with a full band and you have anything from a classic 50 to a marshall stack it holds its own. I also play in a band where my partner has an older Delta Blues with the 2x10's using his strat. Blends well.

Low Hum

I bought this amp earlier today and have been played it in three sittings so far. The second time, a low hum came out of it. At first I thought it may be my guitar/chord, but the hum came out even without anything plugged in. After turning it off and letting it settle, the hum still was there. I'll exchange it tomorrow. Other than that, I love the clean and overdrive channels. Wish there was a separate EQ for the two channels, but that's not a deal breaker.

Every review I write is from my point of view and what I think you should know. Never do I buy music gear without reading the reviews first. Many times I have thought I wanted something until I read the bad things people such as yourself wrote about the product. The Delta Blues is a great looking tweed amp that reminds you of days gone by. It looks perfect sitting beside my Fender 1957 Blues Jr. NOS 15watt tweed amp. This amp was purchase as a primary recording amp that would produce a different tube sound than my Fender. The fact of a 15 inch speaker in the Delta Blues already tells you the sound will give you more lows, thus producing a great sounding amp. Having never heard the amp I went on reviews and my gut feeling to make the order. In my mind this was for recording and I never did think of it as a gig amp. Man was I wrong about the gigging. When the amp arrived I hooked it up to my SKB pedal board which has seven diffierent pedals. The amp by it's self was plenty loud standing on it's own. When I pushed the compression pedal along with the Bad Monkey tube driver, I was shocked. The sound that came out of this amp changed my mind set on it not being gig worthy. Since I already have a Marshal JVM410H with a Marshal speaker cab, loudness was not my reason for buying the Delta. Now I can say that this amp will hold it's on with your drum player. When you add this to the fact that it has a speaker out, you could add a cab and this would blow the windows out. The sound of this amp is just what I was looking for. The amp compliments my Fender and between the two of them there is no limit to the sounds you can produce. The Delta Blues is clean, the reverb is all I will ever need, it will get dirty, pluse you have the two tremolo buttons which is a whole new sound. You really are the master of this amp and it will involve your time to tweek, then tweek some more, to get the best out of it. The one fault I have with it. You would think that Peavey would have included a pedal with the amp in order to change the channels. You now have to reach over to the amp and push the boost knob or channel knob. I am trying to find the pedal that goes with this amp which will be an extra $25.00 dollars or more. This is my honest review on how I feel about this amp. For blues, country, motown, and jazz, classic rock, light medal, you will be pleased with the sounds. For those of you who play the dark side of medal--very heavy distorttion this would not be the amp for you. I could have bought any amp I wanted within the price range of the Delta Blues, and even go a little higher in price. After playing the Vox Custom Classic AC15CC1, the Peavey classic 30, and the line of Fender Hot Rod line. The amp that impressed me the most was this Delta Blues 30watt tube amp. If a 15" speaker is not what you want. Peavey has just come out with a Delta Blues 2X12". You owe it to yourself to at least try this amp, then listen to the other models witin it's category.

I've been playing guitar for a few years now. My first amp was a little Peavey transtube series and it never gave me a lick of trouble In all the years I played it, but when I upgraded to a Line 6 spider 2 I didn't get half the time I played the Peavey for out of it before the thing started messing up. Finally after much agony I decided to buy a new amp. naturally I choose a Peavey. I got a used one to save some money, but I can't find a thing wrong with it... In fact this amp is amazing. It has awesome tone, great versatility, a killer look, and a big powerful air moving speaker. Yep you can play anything on this amp, and it's made in the USA. If your thinking about it, then go for it. It won't let you down and it's worth every penny.
