I have owned the parker fly for a few months. I don't have this exact one, but I have the original this is based off, actualy made by Ken Parker himself, so it is older better and has more value. However I played this and it is really the same guitar. One solid piece, and super fast neck is great. Like an SG, but weighs wayyyy less, and faster neck. It will make a strat feel as heavy as a les paul custom! Great for stage and standing for a while. If you sit down though, do not get it, it will prove to be uncomferatble to an unhealthy degree. The acoustic pickups work well, and once you have it maped out, its a fun guitar. Personaly I would rather have a Gibson any day, for that money, but older folks might like this. I have showed it to some proffesionals, and they love it. I am only a young lad, so I am classic, the parker is artistic and new. good luck to those buying it. You can call parker, they answer your questions very well!

sounds like a gibson, sounds like a strat, (bridge and led pickup) sounds like a strat out of faze. doesn't sound like a tele. can mix acoustic with mag to get some really cool sounds. to small to sit in recliner and practice stuff end up picking over the 24th fret. cord that comes with it is cheap molded plugs. you would think on a guitar this price they could do better than that. I've had mine for 4 months and the switches are already getting durty and scrunchie. love the way it plays though, you can feel the notes vibrating thru the body, how many other electrics can you say that about. if it were lost or stolen i would buy another.

This guitar is so light , so fast, and so full of tone, if you've got the $$$$, you will NOT regret it. LIKE NO OTHER YOU'VE EVER PLAYED! For the barcord metal monster, this may not be your thing, due to it's light weight and thin neck. For everyone else, it's perfection wrapped in glass. Sadly, my Strat and Martin just sit and listen to me and My Parker.

Possibly the best guitar on the market?

I have many guitars, from Ibanez RG's to Harmony Rockets and everything in between, including the standard Strats and LP's, and several US Hamers, which I consider to be top notch. This guitar first caught my eye because it was made from Sitka Spruce, which is a popular tonewood in classical and acoustic guitars, but not usually electrics. Here, Parker has managed to pair it beautifully with the right hardware. The piezo sounds great with the right setup, and all the parts are very high quality. The neck is super fast and makes playing so easy and fluid its unreal. They are one of the most innovative guitars today and possibly the best guitar on the market.

Greatest guitar I've played to date.

As far as electric guitars I've played, I've played many, from unique guitars such as a Caparison Horus, to many standards such as Les Paul’s, Fender Strat’s, etc... PRS, Brian Moore Guitars, ESP, etc. as well.. I've shopped around for the best feel. Some were close to what I wanted, such as a John Petrucci Signature from Ernie Ball, or the different feeling JEM7V from Ibanez. There are some out there I would still like to try just to see what they're like, such as the Ibanez Joe Satch Sig - with its unique neck, or the idea of the Steinberger Synapse Transcale guitars.

But for now, the best playing guitars I've ever laid my hands on are the Parker Fly Series. I picked a Parker Fly Artist guitar up at a semi-local dealer, plugged it into a vintage Mesa Boogie 1979 Mark II Cane Front amp the dealer had in shop, and couldn’t put the guitar down for five hours. I almost closed the store playing the thing. These beauties feel so natural to play, it's unreal. And the sound! Jazz, neoclassical, acoustic, or even beefy metal (I didn’t just plug into the Mesa Boogie, so you all know), these things are perfect for it all, especially the Fly Artist with its Sitka Spruce body in conjunction with the Piezo pickups (and the wonderous ways you can split your sound from the different pickups, and and and... so many features!). I won't purchase this exact guitar; however, I'll be creating a custom design based off of the Fly Artist.

If you haven't played a Parker, go to a local dealer that carries them and try it out. You won't regret it.
