Black Vintage Mahogany Seafoam Green Wild Mint, Body Closeup

The PRS Guitars Mira is a 24 fret electric guitar that features a 25" scale length, 10" radius, wide-thin neck shape, locking tuning pegs, and PRS non-adjustable stoptail. Enhancements include Abalone moon inlays, East Indian rosewood fingerboard, a solid mahogany body and neck, and Mira treble and bass pickups. Controls are volume, tone, 3-way blade switch and mini toggle coil tap.

Latin for "wonderful," Mira is also the name of an unusually fast-moving star located approximately 350 light years from earth.

The Mira is a guitar for today's players with a classic feel and tone but with the quality and stability you've come to expect from a PRS guitar. The Mira features a thinner, solid mahogany body, 24-fret neck, matching pickguard and trussrod cover, Mira pickups, 3-way pickup selector and a mini toggle coil tap. This combination of features is a favorite of the PRS guitar lineup.

I heard the Mira at a PRS dog and pony show at my local dealer. I was blown away by the amazingly versatile pickups. Turn the guitar volume up for nice, sizzling leads. Turn it down and the guiar cleans up nicely for rhythm chording and comping. PRS designed the pickups just for this guitar. The coil split ability makes the intro to "867-5309/Jenny" sound just like the record. Very chimey and reminiscent of a Rickenbacker toaster pickup. Build quality is top-notch. Just what you'd expect from PRS. This is one amazing guitar. I own the maple top and the all mahogany model. They both rock! Especially the wide-thin neck carve that is on my Mira Standard model with moons.

I bought this mail order style. The guitar is beautiful and finished very nice. The case is of medium quality, feels like the cover is going to give out soon. The guitar feels great but I did have to set it up when I got it, the strings where really high????? The thing that killed me was how awful the pickups sounded, I can't put it into words, these PUs are for beginner metal head want-to-be's not for experienced players. Once I replaced the PUs with some Lindy Fralins (wound less then the originals) this guitar is wonderful. But at the cost of almost $300.00 to replace the PUs. I tried to contact the factory but with no luck. PRS should be ashamed of this crap they put into these really nice guitars and let's not mention the total lack of customer service. If you purchase this instrument be prepared to do some expensive work to it. I can't for the life of me figure out what they were thinking at the factory(PRS). I love how this thing plays but my God all mighty it sounded like total dog vomit when I got it.
