Vintage Orange, Body Closeup

The PRS Guitars Mira is a 24-fret electric guitar with a 25" scale length, 10" radius, wide-thin neck, locking tuning pegs, and PRS non-adjustable stoptail. Enhancements include Abalone bird inlays, East Indian rosewood fingerboard, a solid mahogany body and neck, and Mira treble and bass pickups. Controls are volume, tone, 3-way blade switch and mini toggle coil tap.

Latin for "wonderful," Mira is also the name of an unusually fast moving star located approximately 350 light years from earth.

The PRS Mira is a stellar guitar for today's players with classic feel and tone but with the quality and stability you've come to expect from PRS. This electric guitar star features a thinner, solid mahogany body, 24-fret neck, matching pickguard and trussrod cover, Mira pickups, 3-way pickup selector and a mini toggle coil tap. The Mira guitar's combination of features lends a new voice to the PRS lineup.

This is an excellent guitar. The birds are a bit pricey, but I was able to pick up the floor model with birds for less than the model with moons. In general I like thin "u" shaped necks, but I find larger "c" necks to be less fatiguing. The wide-thin on this PRS is the PERFECT compromise. The build quality is superior to more aggressively priced Gibson models. The action is very low without string buzz, and the intonation is dead-on. I love the locking tuners, and the quality of the wood/finish cannot be adequately depicted in a photograph. The crowning of the frets has been done flawlessly, and in spite of the lack of binding, there are no rough edges and not a single finish flaw to mention. Surely, this is not a one-trick-pony. A MIJ ESP or Ibanez loaded with EMG's may be better for metal, but for an all around performer, exhibiting a multitude of tonal capabilities, the PRS Mira would be difficult to beat!
