The Custom 22/12 features a hum-single-hum pickup configuration, a newly designed, fully intonatable 12-string bridge, and special humbucking pickups, specifically designed for 12-string guitars. Based on the knowledge gained through PRS's years of building private stock 12-strings, this electric guitar incorporates the special neck dimensions, nut spacing, bridge design, fingerboard radius, string gauge, and specialized set-up specifications that made the custom-built instruments so sought after.

Finely crafted with a carved, figured maple top; mahogany back and neck; rosewood fretboard; pearl and abalone moon inlays; and a special 12-string neck carve.

I took the plunge and got this instrument. It was a high price at my local guitar shop. Plays well, easy with the fretboard/string ratio. And beautiful! The gold really adds to the overall experience. If you have the money, I would highly recommend it.

I am not happy at all with this guitar. I go and spend a bunch of money on it and it turns out to be a piece of crap. It does not go good in most amps and the strings break with ease. I thought that when the strings it came with broke it was just an accident that I did. When they broke a third time, I knew this guitar was pathetic. My dad, my mom, and my cousin all tried to play a tune without breaking the strings and they failed. The pickups also are pathetic on this guitar. They are typically poor for any guitar. Thats why this hunk of junk is not good in most amps. The pickguard fails misrably when put into performance also. I can't think why someone would sell this guitar and say its so good. I am not the only person stuck with this hunk of junk either. My friend also bought one in hopes of having a cool guitar. Now we both wasted our hard earned money.
