PRS Custom 22

I was looking at buying a Les Paul and decided to play the PRS in my comparison. I bought the PRS - that should say enough in and of itself. The tone and playability of this instrument are second to none. I've owned and played this guitar for ten years now and I still can't put it down. I own a lot of guitars but this one hands-down is my go-to, no questions asked. I have the original PRS lockingtuners on mine - I have no complaints about them at all. It definitely stays in tune. It's very versatile with the coil tap function - easy to use and dial in. My only complaint is the solid bridge does not allow for individual intonation or action adjustment.

My Custom 22 is my first PRS guitar, my 5th electric. By far this is the sweetest electric I've owned and playing it is a joy. I'm motivated to write this review because of two minor, albeit, noticeable details amidst a practically flawless instrument. The quality of the tuners surprised me; unless tightened they have significant play in the gearing between the crank and the shaft. The pick-up selector knob is the same as the volume and the treble/bass knobs; this only has 5 positions but the dial, of course, has 10...a nit-picky detail that my expectations for a Custom 22 exceeded. Beyond these minor issues, this guitar will be a treasured tool for a long time.
