Outstanding guitar

My guitar arsenal includes two PRS Artists (22 & 24) and a PRS “Rosewood” (= similar to the Artists, but with a rosewood unpainted neck). They intonate really well, the pickups (PRS Dragon II’s in the 22 Artist and the HFS bridge/Vintage Bass combo in the other two) sound good with a great variety of amps, the tremolo is one of the best non-locking ones around, the frets and action are outstanding – i.e., between 0.05” and 0.06” at the 12th fret with no buzz. Strangely, none of them (all bought new) had its control cavity properly shielded, which created unwanted hums/noises in certain electronically unfriendly environments (was easily fixed using a few sheets of copper shielding foil). In the same price category, Suhrs maybe slightly better made, but PRS’s are SUBSTANTIALLY better made than Gibsons or high-end (Custom Shop) Fenders. When getting a new PRS Artist (in contrast to getting a new high-end Gibson or Fender) – it’s highly unlikely that you would end up disappointed.
