Ovation 6778 LX has many unique and friendly amenities. How many guitars can you pull from their case, push a button and tune in a matter of seconds? Unplugged this rig has rich savory tone...but plugged in, you'll find a whole new world of acoustic/electric magic. I've always been a Martin fan (over 25 years) and a number of years ago became a Taylor fan as well, but now Ovation has become a family member...again. I remember years ago my first Applause tore my finger tips up...Ovation USA has come a long way baby, this guitar ROCKS! You'll find the action and fingerboard is far superior to Ovations made outside of the USA. I have a lot of nice, high-end guitars but this Ovation 6778LX really surprised me. It's got a great feel to it that's very hard to resist. It's also very visually appealing and exhibits a lot of thoughtful craftsmanship. I actually tend to play the Ovation a lot because I'm less worried about damaging the delicate woodstuff or scratching up the finish. The thing is half plastic but you'd never guess from the sound of it. Plus the neck is fast and comfy. I think the shallow bowl back is another thing that makes the guitar so inviting. It's definitely a guitar that begs to be played. Whether you're into fast strumming or delicate fingerpicking, pick one up and I guarantee you'll have a hard time putting it down.

I have played a lot of top brand acoustic or E- Acoustic guitars, including Martin and Taylor. No doubt, this is one of the best. The unplugged sound is no tradtional, it is something that sounds like has been process by a professional sound engineer, in another word, it is someting like you have ever heard in a Music CD. SO when play live the unplugged sound is very clean and no need to be processed. Then plugged sound is also over the top. I recommend this guitar to everyone who plays live than other.

I got my ovation a few months ago when it was on sale and it sounds awsome. Unplugged it has a nice comresed bluesy sound but plugged in is where this guitar really shines with a boss EQ and the onboard electronics you can get amazing sounds. Don't hesitate its a great time to buy!!!

My friend had this guitar and I played it at school. Like the title says: Words can not describe this guitar. The action is perfect just for playing or slide guitar, get a nice blues sound when using a slide. Didn't get a chance to plug it in but the sound alone is amazing. All the finishes are beautiful but I prefer black. I do have plans on buying this.
