Is it the late 60's early 70's again?

I have a soft spot for Ovation Guitars. As I was one of those who just had to have on back then, and fell it love with it. But sometime in the early 80's America's love affair with the Ovation was gone. Quality dropped, inported guitars, and not to mention the North Carolina pure junk guitars. Unless I was playing a pre 1982 Ovation, I wouldn't touch one.

Well it is 2008 now. The LX series Legend is here. The X brace is back. The quality is back.

The sound is clear and crisp straight acoustic. Plugged into my ancient 1981 Peavey bandit 50 watt, you don't need any other guitar. Flat responce on the amp and you get a pure acoustic sound. Play with the saturation on the amp and you have a Les Paul, or a Strat, or a Tele. And that is without using the controls on the guitar pre amp.

So once again I have a guitar that I can play any type of music on. Thank you Ovation for getting back to where you once were.

The neck is a fast 1 11/16 standard space neck. It is the 5 peice laminated neck of maple and mahogany with a gloss finish on it. The adjustment rod is once again at the headstock. Right out of the box this guitar needs no set up. Perfect from the factory. If you haven't played an LX Ovation you owe it to yourself to try one.
