This guitar's price tag is way to low for its quality. The sound of the stock olp humbuckers was expected to be sub-par at first but when finally getting it and playing it my opinion totally changed. Best stock pickups I've ever played on. This guitar is extremely versatile and can be equiped with even better gear then it has easily. When adding a set of demarzio air nortons it is astounding how close the guitar sounds to actual mm jp6 model. Great guitar for the unexperienced wanting to learn AND the experienced looking to improve. Stock - fits a more medal style of play with a slight bluesy side. Upgraded with Demarzios - UNLIMITED POSSIBILTIES. The only downside...NO PIEZO

I loved this guitar the minute I saw it. I went straight into the store, picked it up, and started playing, its AMAZING, the feel, the looks, and also how it plays, its one of the best looking guitars I've ever seen. And its waaaaay better than my current guitar (epiphone SG).

Exceeded my expectations

On first inspection the guitar looks nice. The finish is flawless (I have the redbust) and the body is solidly built and looks more expensive than, say, an ESP of the same price. It did need a setup but that is to be expected. I installed the included extra spring to increase the tuning stability. Fret buzz is minimal to non-existant. The tremolo moves smoothly with some slight up-pull. The neck is comfy and the contours feel similar to my Peavey Wolfgang. Plugged into a H&K half stack, this guitar screams with tone I'd expect from much more expensive intruments. The bridge pickup is edgy and handles everything from Megadeth riffs to EVH divebomb solos. The neck pickup was warm with lots of sustain and could dish out everything from SRV blues to dream theater. The tuners took some getting used to but seem to hold tune fairly well. You may want to replace them eventually. The stock strings were Ernie Ball slinkys. The case it comes with is very sturdy. It survived an Army deployment to Afghanistan. The included guitar strap was too short for me and the guitar cord was cheap and had to be replaced. All in all I think it's a great deal for the money.

I have been playing a Fender telecaster (mexico) and a Fender Strat. I wanted something with dual humbuckers and tremolo for a bit richer sound. After doing a full set-up and a few mild adjustments. I absolutely love this guitar. Any guitar you buy is going to need a few adjustments to suit the musician, regardless what you buy (I added a capacitor to the volume and tone pots). It now has the best sustain and full bodied sound of almost any guitar I've ever owned. I take it to nearly every gig. I love it.

I'm not big on people who just trash stuff just to sound cool, so this is from my heart. I have a "real" MM petrucci, and wanted to try one of these so maybe my expectation were off, but the guitar was just not good. My biggest problem was intonation. (using a precision tuner)Between frets, the pitch would go from open E in tune, to F (way flat), then to F# (Way Sharp). This was just a big disappointment. But I understand that I might have been expecting too much. I have other guitars in this price range that play MUCH better than this guitar. I'm my opinion, this is at best a beginner guitar.
