this guitar is more for the advanced player. everything about it screams PLAY ME. I play a wide range of styles and have several guitars to choose from. This is my go to guitar for all my leed work and clean rythms. the neck is awesome and the pick ups never fail to deliver the tone needed for whatever style you are playing. you can get several styles out of this guitar and it is a standard work horse for my studio.the double inputs are really handy and the piezo pick up is really smooth sounding and is amazin to hear.set up and action are really good right out of the box and the adjustments to the bridge and action were minor. i like the guitar so much that i am getting a second one just to have a diffrent set of string...honestly the best guitar i have ever owned and well worth the price.

AMAZIN GUITAR

I played this guitar at a music store, and I was in there for about 2 hours playing it. It was great because no matter how much you bend the wammy down, it doesnt go out of tune. (I was expecting that from a guitar of its price though) not only was it easy on the eyes, but it sounded amazing. One of my favorite features on it is how to have the ability to change the pickups from singal coil, to humbuckers with the second switch. Once I get the money, I'm getting one of these and a mesa boogie roadster.

Got my baby for my 40th birthday. Almost got it at 41. Have to wait almost 4 months to get it in my hands(backorder for ever!!) But it was worth the waiting. The finish of this guitar is impecable, Mystic dream is that a dream. Better than my 12 guitar I own. Piezo bridge sounds amaizing truly an acoustic sound, a little dry but that's acoustic, a equalizer should do it. The pickups could be hotter but I am used to seymour duncans actives so its ok. The action is very playable, my fingers are not that long so the neck is totally comfortable to my playing. So far got a tons of different tones with this baby, from heavy heavy metal to paco de lucia tone. A little pricey but what the hell I am not getting younger!!! So I got it and still have't got any remorse fot it. If you have the cash buy it!!!

I went to the store for my birthday to jam for a while with my friend and we found this thing hanging out the wall, my friend played it first he told me that guitar is a dream... so I got my hands on it... and well the best part is that is so smooth to play... your fingers just run through the strings like water... I've never layed a guitar so smooth... I really want to know how EXACTLY that guitar was set up. it was pretty amazing... Other than that it had two switches that actually didn't find too much difference of a sound maybe one of them works with the piezzo pick up, I'm not sure... Other than that. it is a nice piece of equipment. If I get famous or millionare I would certainly own it... now I just stick to my ibanez guns! So here are my ratings Features: 2.5 since I'm not sure what of the other stuff does... I can't give more Quality: 5.. what can I say? Value: 3.5 I guess is ok... Overall.. what the hell!! give it a 5!! hahaha!

Great guitar; too expensive.

The value just doesn't add up. The Mystic Dream finish is amazing, but that doesn't make the guitar play any better. The humbuckers definitely punch out some gritty rhythm and are capable of buttery leads, very John Petrucci-esque through the right amplifier. The guitar is solid, the locking tuners are a dream, and the bridge is no more difficult to set up than a Floyd Rose, without the hassle of a locking nut.

I haven't played with the Piezo pickup yet, but you could buy a Piezo bridge and strap it to a MUCH more affordable Ibanez, ESP, Schecter, et cetera. It's a great guitar with great looks and extreme playability, but even being a signature guitar, I think it costs too much for what it's actually worth.

I'd trade it for an Ibanez JP model any day.
