The only signature guitar from MusicMan to feature a single humbucker, this alder-bodied beauty was crafted to Madden's specs. It's adorned with a custom "Knuckle" inlay at the 12th fret. A single DiMarzio Custom wound humbucker delivers rocking tones. It's fitted with a standard MusicMan string-thru bridge of chromeplated, hardened steel with bent steel saddles. 25-1/2" scale with 10" neck radius. 22 high-profile, medium-width frets. 1-5/8" nut width.

The metallic green and white models have a maple neck with maple fretboard, the black model has a rosewood fretboard. The body is finished with gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend.

The adjustable truss rod requires no component or string removal to adjust. The 5-bolt neck attachment is perfectly aligned with no shifting. The sculpted neck joint allows smooth access to higher frets. Schaller M6-IND locking tuners deliver rock-solid tuning.

This guitar looks great, is easy to play and sounds brilliant. All that rubbish that you cant get deep tones isn't true if you use a distortion pedal. Mines an OLP and it is terrific. It's strings are ernie ball slinkys.

When I first played it, I was going through a Dual Super Lead. When I played it through my 6505, I fell in love with it. I replaced the pickup with an EMG-81. I bought the guitar for the lightweight body, perfect neck, and locking tuners. This thing takes a beating! I'm going to get a second one. I spend more time playing notes rather than switching pickups and amp channels, so I only need a bridge pickup. I would love it if there was such thing as a Les Paul Goldtop with only a bridge humbucker. Then again, it would be heavy. I can play this thing all day and not get sore on the shoulder.

The Music Man Benji Madden Signature guitar is really good if you want to sound like Good Charlotte (Punk/Pop Punk). It's not really designed for the Hardcore/Heavy Metal fans. If you like the way Good Charlotte, and bands like Good Charlotte sound then this guitar is for you. If you like heavier sounds or even in some cases lighter then I'd suggest something else (Les Paul maybe or an SG).

When I saw this one humbucker travesty for a grand, I had to play it to believe it. And boy was I right about this thing. It sounds like the Squire Bullet that you can buy for a dollar amount in the double, not quadruple, digits. It's quite worthless for anything other than punk, and can't really do that well, either. From the point of view of a guitarist, this thing is utterly worthless.

Good Charlotte fans: Save yourself some money and buy the OLP version. It honestly sounds just as good(bad) and comes with fun little stickers of "Nightmare before Christmas" and whatnot so you can decorate it an be in "Hot Topic punk" bliss in minutes.

Oh man, a grand for a peice of garbage, you gotta be kidding me, the only kids i can see buying this hunk o' junk is a bunch of kids wearing make up thinking its something never done before (um 80's?). If you're so into this crappy band you want to look like them, go buy the prs billy martin SE, its half the price for a set neck and has a reasonable amount of tones, if you buy this, its an overpriced squier.
