With the Morpheus Droptune guitar effect pedal, you can easily go from one pitch for a particular song to a different pitch on the next without having to retune your guitar or needing multiple guitars for various step-down de-tunings.

For example, play an E chord in standard tuning, then use this unique pedal to drop tune your guitar so the chord is changed to an Eb, D, Db, C, B, Bb, or A.

This lets guitarists get that heavy drop-tuned tone at different pitches without dealing with floppy string buzz, extra-heavy-gauge strings or carrying around expensive extra guitars. The same goes for foam-deadened acoustic guitars or electric violins.

If your singer has a bad throat night, you can drop-tune your guitar to accommodate him without having to change neck position or retune.

The Morpheus DropTune guitar pedal also features effect-toggling so you can instantly toggle back and forth between the dropped pitch and the EFFECT OFF for a cool up/ down pitch-shift effect during solos or power chord rhythm patterns. Additionally, the DropTune pedal has Full Octave Drop and a great-sounding Octaver.

Don t mistake this for a mere pitch-shifting stompbox—the DropTune uses proprietary polyphonic pitch-drop algorithms that maintain perfect harmonic accuracy and tonally correct overtones. The DropTune was developed by a team of guitar effects pros with over 50 years of experience at other companies where they created some of today's most famous pedals.

With a cast-metal chassis; solid, positive-feeling steel switches; and non-skid rubber feet, the DropTune is solidly built for years of use and abuse. LED indicators are bright and easy to see.

This pedal is (ALMOST) unbelievable. All it took for me to buy it was just a couple of demos. I'm not going to B.S. here. This pedal was what I have needed for years. I was using three guitars, now I use just two, one is just a back-up. My other guitar player envys me! lol. Its so easy to use, does not effect tone. If you are in a cover band like I am, then you know how songs requier different tunings. Well, this pedal is the answer to all of those down tuning problems.. It's a little pricey, but worth every penny in my book. I love this pedal..

My setup is Gibson SG Standard and Fender American Stratocaster into a Fender Blues Deluxe Amp. I got the pedal to cover some songs that are half step and full step down. This is the only Polyphonic pitch changing pedal I know of. Polyphonic means it will track full chords not just one note. It does an ok job, but does have a slight delay. Like I said I got this pedal for Eb and Drop C tuning which are common in today’s music. It does a good job, but it does have a noticeable effect on your tone. It is certainly useable in a live setting; but not for a lot of songs. You should think of this pedal like any other effect pedal. If you are going to use it for a few songs it would be fine, but not for extended use. One thing to be aware of is, it gets much worse the more you change the pitch. At three steps down it becomes unusable in my opinion. I ended up returning the pedal, because once I had a chance to play at gig volume I felt it did not sound as good as I initially thought. Also it kills your sustain.

2 guitars is all you need

I saw this pedal and thought no way it could be as good as its supposed to be... Then I did some researchin on youtube and looked at some people that demo'd it and boy was I interested. It really does drop your tuning with the push of a button. If you like playing ALOT of different bands like me (Aerosmith-Slipknot) then get this pedal and you'll only need 2 guitars; one standard E and one drop D. You can play along with ANY group no matter how they tune. If you sing, this is like a reverse capo. Put aside a little money here and there cuz it aint cheap, but its worth it if you love music like I do.

Love The Drop Tune

Out of the box and easy to use. No need for the manual. Pretty self explanatory. Although, I love playing all my guitars, no more need for switching them up. I just leave my guitar tuned standard and can fly through all our songs. I play blues, classic rock and mainstream rock and this thing does the job. I even dropped it down to play some Pantera and it was great. Does not seem to alter my sound, but I only ever need to go down 1 step. Octaver was nice and I see some use for it in the near future. Only downfall was it does not take batteries and does not run off of my normal daisy chain power supply. It has a 12 volt power supply, but is very small and takes up little room, so I can live with that.

Killer Pedal

Just like having a reverse capo that lets you detune your guitar 3.5 steps! Love this pedal. I no longer bring an Eb-tuned second guitar to my gigs to play Van Halen and Jimi covers. It retains my true tone, which is really important to me because I've tweaked it for years to get it where I want it.
