Ok i have been using this wah for about 4 months now and man is it nice. The good: I love how you just lift your foot and the wah is off. This is great for me because the only time I use wah is when soloing so its perfect for me. Its heavy duty made out of metal. Some say it gets way to loud and boosts the sound thats because its in the wrong part of your lineup switch it to the rear of your effects and it will chill it down.
All in all it is a great pedal made in the USA that holds up to the abuse I put it through onstage and at practice.

I was psyched about this when I saw it and bought one. So psyched in fact, I sold my 70's Morley Fuzz/Wah to my neighbor. Big mistake. This pedal is adequate, but far below what I expected. The depth and variables are limited, not giving me the range I had with my old pedal. While it works "okay" with my Hamer Special (which has screaming pickups) the effects are barely noticable with my Ibanez Artist. It's medium-good with the Strat, when it's a little dirty. I thought the portability and the fact that it runs off a 9V would be a plus, since we play outdoors downtown a lot. It sucks the 9Volt battery like a demon. If you're a busker, count on changing the battery every time you go out. Overall, not thrilled with my purchase. I'd have been better off just using the wah effect on my Vox DA5. (which, by the way, is an insanely good amp - batteries last for a few months even if you play every day - bought mine right here from MusiciansFriend)

When I first stepped on this pedal, it sounded great. I didn't know how good it would sound, since I thought that the switchless operation (which works almost perfectly) was the main feature of the pedal. The sound surprised me. It sounds perfect for any genre, and when you use the contour wah, it is even more capapble. There is a short list of problems, though. When you start to use it a lot, you'll wish that you didn't have to hold ot down with your foot. There is also an annoying feature where the wah stays on after you let off (it is adjustable though). Finally, there is a little bit of buzz/hum and feedback with the contour turned all the way up. Overall, it is a great buy.

A friend of mine was using the Bad Horsie one day at practice. I thought hey, I wonder if it's any good. So he told me I could hook it up to my pedal board and try it out. To my surprise it was amazing. I had been shopping for a Wah for a while, and just couldn't find anything that worked for me. Well I come to find out that they do not sell the original anymore, so I decided to buy the Bad Horsie 2. The added contour effect makes this pedal extremely versatile. I highly recommend this pedal to anyone looking for a good Wah, and not looking to spend a ton of money.

Solid Value, good tone retention

I tried a few Morley Wahs and almost all the Dunlops. I found the Dunlops sucked too much tone all through the line, even at the top. I have a BigShot EFX switch which lets me switch anything in and out of the loop, and will verify that with the Morley there is only a barely noticeable tone loss with the pedal in the loop, so their true bypass function does what it says!! One issue with the Morley Wahs is the spring requires a bit too much foot co-ordination if you want to hold a tone. So I took out the spring. It wasn't rocket science, and now I have the benefit of optical circuitry instead of a mechanical pot and well as the ability to pick a tone and leave it. The contour function is a nice addition because it you tweak it right, and set the pedal you can get a nice sustain/distortion sound, and if you pull it back a little, you get a scooped Zappa sound (think Pajama People). I leave it plugged into my 1Spot adaptor, and when I really care about the hum I unplug it to battery power. I may buy a Morley adaptor if I ever get really fussy
