This is the best audio-taper volume pedal I have used. The level control allows you to set a rhythm level (toe up) for boost from rhythm to lead (toe down)...works great for this, but I use the pedal from off to on for the most part. it goes on faster than the Little Alligator or the Ernie Ball Volume...and feels better than the Dunlop High Gain, at least to me...it's smoother and stays where you leave it when you take your foot off. Rememeber, this pedal goes FIRST, in front of all your effects, otherwise it won't work the way it's supposed to. If you want a volume pedal to go after your effects, or in an effects loop, then get the Little Alligator...but remember that the linear-taper of the Little Alligator does not feel as natural as your guitar knob...the PVO DOES feel natural like your guitar knob, as long as it's in front of everything else.

It's a great pedal - if you know how to use it! What I mean is: it's like rolling off your volume knob on your GUITAR! I don't know any product that will decrease your volume w/o a roll-off of tone. The only way that can be achieved is by turning down the volume knob on your amp. i use it to boost between lead and rhythm and it works flawlessly.

i bought this pedal about two years ago and i am very disappointed with its quality. it has virtually no range and the range it does have changes from really high to really low in all of about 1 mm. I wouldn't recommend this pedal to anyone. If you want a wah go with a crybaby.

I bought this pedal for £60 (about $114) and it is not worth the money! If your using distortion, it doesnt make it louder or quieter, it just makes the distortion less or more. Morley only tell you this in the manual!

DO NOT BUY

Pedal works great, is responsive, and has all the right features. Seems to last a long time on one battery. The PVO has better control of volume than the Little Alligator. I use it on an acoustic instrument between the pickup and the preamp.
