Great for violinists

I love this wah pedal because it is great for use with an electric violin. If you play any Celtic or fiddle music this is your wah. I like to play it threw a Spider 3 or Fender Champ Amplifier. If you do choose to purchase this for a violin make sure it has a tone knob. The sound is weak when the wah is off unless you have the tone knob on a very bright tone. If you think this is a good deal, by all means buy it!

I bought one of these ages ago when I was tasked to play the bass line for Metallica's "For Whom the Bell Tolls". This is a heavy duty pedal with a wide base. It was always easy to access, and had a decent sound. I'm not a big distortion user, but seemed a bit harsh, unlike other pedals. Also, it ate batteries like no one's business. The biggest issue I had with this pedal was its lack of position sensitivity. Unlike a Vox, you really had to move the pedal to get an effect change. This drawback is what caused me to sell it.

I got this pedal for my birthday. This is a very close pedal to getting the sound that cliff burton used. It's not the same pedal because I e-mailed morley and they said he used a fuzz wah. And they don't make that any more. But you can still get close to his sounds by turning the tone and drive knobs all the way up. Play on the G&D strigs and you van really kick some a**. the only bad things I would say is the wah sucks but not when you used it with the distortion. The other is you can't really get that many sounds out of the distortion. But over all I am very satisfied with this pedal.

This is the greatest pedal in the history of Rock N Roll and Metal.Cliff Burton used it and Geezer Butler. It has such an awesome sound. It's the best thing I bought for my bass. Its great for doing solos. I would use this pedal than any other.

Great Pedal

I've been using this pedal for at least 2 yrs now, with a Carvin w/ 2 humbuckers. The pedal is very versatile. The volume is pre-distortion which is very handy for going from light to heavy in a song. The tone sounds pretty good (not the best, but certainly not the worst). Morley has THE BEST customer service in the industry. The only thing I would change is to add more options to the pedal. It would be nice to make the chain order selectable (volume-distortion, or distortion-volume, etc.). Also, have more tone-shaping control. BTW, I see alot of people saying the pedal is loose, or falls on its own: just tighten the nuts under the pedal (between the pedal and the base) where the hinge is. My biggest complaint is the location of the AC adapter plug. If yer using right-angle cables, it's right in the way!. I solved this by using a 9-volt adapter (from Godlyke) plugged into the battery compartment.
