The Moog MF-105 Moogerfooger MURF Analog Guitar Effect is the antidote to generic, boring effects. MURF stands for Multiple Resonance Filter Array, and the Moogerfooger MURF has 8 filters, each controlled by its own slider. The filters can be animated in up to 24 preset patterns. The rate of the patterns can be set by a knob, expression pedal, or plug a footswitch into the tap tempo input to match the rate to the tempo of your song. Rhythmic variations can be created by adjusting the levels of the filters. The Envelope control sets the shape of the modulation, which can be set for percolating techno rhythm or shimmering timbral morphing. Other controls on the Moog MF-105 Moogerfooger MURF include Input Drive, Output Level, and Wet/Dry Mix. Accepts any line- or instrument-level signal.

Great Sound

This little box has enhanced the sonic qualities of my tracks. Although the MuRF is analog, it is fairly clean sounding, some color is added to the tracks, but the color that is added is not over the top or overly ambitious. Excellent piece of equipment, would recommended to all the "lap-toppers" out there...excellent way to add some "weight" to your tracks.

Even if you aren't using the filters, just running a sound through the MuRF while it is in 'Dry' mode will do wonders!

My only complaint is that it is a bit noisy, not much...the slight his is a bit annoying.

This pedal can do the most versatile of envelope effects and is surprisingly easy to use. Some people have problems with the hum and hiss from this pedal, but that can easily be handled with a noise reducing pedal,(Such as a boss ns-2, Electro-Harmonix Hum Debugger, or that ISP one that I forgot the name of). Nice sounds that helped me get some cool Radiohead tones. It's great for any instrument and I can guaranty that you will have fun if you GET THIS PEDAL.

Great Specialty Effect--For Keyboards

This box works great with keyboards to get the arpeggiated techno sounds. You absolute need a single contact footswitch to set the tempo when playing live. Not as exciting with guitar, probably won't use it much. Noisy, noisy, noisy: thumps, thunks, and some hiss. Some effect sometimes gets confused when running stereo in bypass mode. If you're not into techno, don't buy this product, look for something else.

This is one wicked little unit. It's like having one of those old analog Korg synths with all the knobs you could tweak. The sounds you can get are out of this world. Great with use of feedback and delays. Definetly the cure for a bored guitarist. Price is abit much, thats why I gave the value an 8. I would highly recommend this product.
