I've been playing on and off since I was 9, now 46. I stumbled across my Mitchell thru fellow musicians who fell on hard times. Prior to that I had gone to all the local shops and even pawn shops for a decent sounding/don't break the bank guitar. I actually bought and returned guitars because I wasn't happy. I've tried or bought Taylor, Fender, Ibanez, Kona, Yamaha, Walden and about a dozen more thru the years. However, once I replaced the strings and set the action, I swear, it came alive! I say that sort of tongue in cheek. What I mean is, when you find THE guitar, IT will let you know you found the right one. As a wise old sage told me once, "It will talk to you." My MD100s is a little different than the newer ones however. GROVER gold tuners and MITCHELL spelled vertical with the initials WFM at the top of the headstock set it apart from the new ones. But the quality and sound rates among the best and the price is is the biggest surprise. You cannot go wrong with the MD100s, and even if you have a guitar you like, you should always have a backup. Be careful, you'll find the Mitchell being your go to guitar.

I have owned this guitar for almost 10 months now, and it has become my most played instrument. I did the usual thing of playing every guitar in the store, but then I was hit with the reality of my budget. Amazing sound isn't made for student, or so I though until I played this guitar. It does in fact sound wonderful. The highs and lows are balanced, the action is superb, the tone is beautiful, and the fretboard is flawless. If you are looking for a durable and cheap joy to play, look no further. Everything is quality on this instrument from the hardware to the noise that comes out of it. I have not had a single problem with it yet. It is my first recommendation when someone asks me about an acoustic. Five stars all the way.

I went to guitar center looking for a new acoustic since my old yamaha was stolen. I picked up a few of the yamahas and played, they sounded pretty good, then I saw the Mitchell 100s played it and I loved the sound. I then saw the price and It was a no brainer. I love the clean projected sound it produces. Definetly gets my approval, I will be jaming out for a long time with my new mitchell 100s.

I've bought this guitar for like 2 months and I'm very impressed with it. This baby is so dang loud you can play it along with a drumset. The strings didnt last long but with some martin string, this guitar rocks. My very own concern is that theres some paper thats glued into the pickguard and I can't figure out how to get it off without leaving any mark.
