The Patriot Limited Electric Guitar has an extra dose of Michael Kelly Magic. It features a figured exotic wood top in distinctive spalted maple. With all of the obvious visual appeal, the Patriot Limited guitar is first and foremost built on sound. The tone screams out in crisp growling heaps - in part thanks to the Rockfield SWC pickups. Constructed with USA magnets and wire commonly found in the best known pickups. You get versatile tone ranging from full and biting twang in split-coil mode to clean gnarly and grungy grind in full humbucker mode. Bboth pickups are also coil tapped. Other features include an adjustable Tune-O-Matic bridge with string-through body, which gives the Patriot Limited guitar a slightly darker tone than its Michael Kelly Patriot Custom brother.

I've had this guitar for about 8 months now, and I am blown away by how great it sounds and looks every time I play it. The humbuckers have a crystal clear, clean tone, but when I use my boss effects pedal for some distortion, it sounds even better the rock/metal riffs sound great with the rockfield pickups. The coil split provides an arsenal of sounds. The craft of the instrument is great even though it was build in korea I think. This guitar sounds better than guitars 3 times the price. Buy it, you won't regret it.

I am pretty pleased with this guitar. Mine has a real nice grain pattern, unique "spalted" look with a subtle flame. The extra touches, like the multi-ply binding, abalone inlays and matching grain headstock bring it to a higher level. The guitar is near flawless,(one sharp fret end - no big deal) . Everyone that I show it to is very impressed. I really like the feel of the tapered neck and angled body joint. For small hands, it is easy and fun to play. The pickups are good, though my bridge pickup seems noticeably quieter than the neck pickup. The taps work fine, leaving tons of pickup selection choices (8 in total). The only thing I would change is the knobs, which are a bit bulky and makes the tap selection awkward on the fly. Still, these are minor critcisms. It'a really great guitar overall.

Just received this and it is awesome. Its got some weight to it but its not as heavy as a les paul. The inlays are beautiful and really add character to the guitar. I had been using a strat style guitar and getting used to the single cutaway took a little time but now it seems natural. Its great for Metallica rhythms. Overall this is a great bargain and it has a lot broader range compared to a strat in my opinion.

Fantastic Guitar. Truly best bang for the buck that I've seen so far. Everything in the other reviews is true. It really does exceed Gibsons and Fenders in quality and sound. Mine actually feels heavy but I like that in an LP style guitar. If weight is an issue, you may want to actually pick one up before you order it on line. Definitely my best guitar. The rockfield pickups and more punch and clarity on the low end than my Gib Lp. They split nicely to single coil as well.
