I played this guitar a couple of times in the local guitar store and decided this was the perfect guitar for the price. I have the satin finish and it makes it very comfortable to slide and move around the neck. Had minor fret buzzing, but not a difficult fix. Handles anything from soft rock like pink floyd all the way to the heavier stuff. Would recomend for anyone looking for a guitar within this price range.

I first saw this guitar in a magazine. I checked out the website and enjoyed the audio samples. So I bought one. This thing plays very smoothly and is everything that I expected. This thing is easier to play than some other guitars. Alot of guitars. The quality is awesome. This is a beauty and I am glad that I have one. This thing is georgeous looking and sounds fantastic.

I just picked up one of these yesterday, and gigged with it last night. I play in a rather loud Classic Rock band, lots of Zeppelin, Clapton, RUSH, and the like. I just wanted to find a dependable guitar that had what I need onstage, and no distractions. This one seemed to have it all, and I thought it had to be too good to be true, until I played it for the entire 3 sets last night, even letting my doubleneck sit lonely and unplayed on its stand the whole gig! I mean, Epi's look great in the pics, but then you play one... Not the case here. This guitar is balanced and comfortable to play. The factory setup is a bit high, as is typical on any new guitar, but unlike some gibsons it does not require a $300 fretjob, setup and neck adjustment. The construction is FLAWLESS. String-thru-body, tonepros bridge, supertight neck joint, and decent grover tuners make for good solid sustain and nice woody tone. The ebony fretboard, finely-finished med-jumbo frets, and direct body-mounted high output pickups make the tone amazing. I never thought I would like high output pickups, but these are great! The finale riff at the end of "Working Man" has that ghostly tonal echo that follows the bends when I play it thru my Soldano Decatone into a full stack of Marshall 1960 4x12s. The coil tap cuts the volume in half and produces a cool sound. All 3 switch positions have distinct tonal characteristics, and each excells at what the given position should have- the rhythm tone is fat and bell-like, the middle tone is woody and rich, and the high tone is crunchy and screaming, but with POWER. All with clarity, definition, and even volume on all six strings. No need for adjustable pole pieces (they aren't adjustable)- the magnets are 2X oversized. This guarantees uniform pickup of everything. No need to adjust the height (again, body-mounted/not adjustable). I like the one volume/one tone,coil tap setup. Exactly what I need, nothing more, nothing less. The binding looks nice on this guitar, as does the finish- mine is gloss black. A finger print magnet, but cleans up nice after the show. I had a Schecter S-1 that was almost what this guitar is out of the box, but this guitar is even better. Maybe some JUMBO frets? But then it would not play as smooth. I really don't think it could be any better, and at this price, nothing approaches. I've played $3000 axes that stink compared to this. I'm going to buy another one for alternate tunings, I think. Oh, and did I mention that despite my bending the crap out of my strings all night, I hardly had to tune at all? Buy this guitar before they change the specs or materials or something- right now they are making an amazing product. Get the Michael Kelly case, too. It's REALLY nice- the guitar sits surrounded by several inches of padding and there's tons of storage inside.

I purchased this guitar today, and I am absolutely in love with it. It plays really easy with great action and a nice neck, not to flat and not fat. The Rockfield pickups which I have never heard before are awesome. Great distortion and with good low end and excellent highs. The other thing that I like is that the pickups are very loud and sound amazingly warm and full on the clean channel of my Peavey Bandit 112. The finish is really nice with a minor flaw on the binding at the headstock, other than that it is great. If you looking for something out of the ordinary and great rock guitar this is it for you. In my opinion this blew away the Ibanez guitars in the same price bracket.
