With either a solid mahogany or sapele body and top, it dispenses with elaborate cosmetics to bring you revered Martin sound at a more affordable price. A Fishman undersaddle transducer and onboard Prefix Plus Pro preamp makes it a fine plug-and-play stage guitar. Low profile neck shape, rosewood fretboard (1-11/16" nut width, standard 25.4" scale), dark mahogany matte finish.

It Only Gets Better!

I bought the Martin DC15-E a year ago. It is probably some of the best investments in a musical instrument I've ever made. It's quality and beauty all around. It does not have any sophisticated finish of more expensive guitars, no fancy rosette, no abalone bindings, or lacquer layer. But it has the sound, intonation, playability, and craftsmanship of much more guitars. As a matter of fact, it's simplicity and tone is what attracted me to it. The finish has a satin feel to it. The sound was a bit brighter than I expected when I first got it, but it's becoming more warm and full. I always keep it in a hard shell case, when I'm not playing it, and it rarely goes out of tune. Highly recommend it!

I bought this guitar back in 2003, after spending 2 hours playing Taylors and Gibsons that cost way more. This guitar feels right, Sounds awesome and is extremely reliable. I tune it and play it, thats it. The truss rod will need occasional adjustment. The pickup is not the greatest (Taylors sound much better plugged in), but its natural sound is rarely beat. My friends play my guitar any chance they get.

Comfortable…….open the case and play it and it’s like your favorite jeans……it just feels right. I’m really happy with it. It feels like you could play this guitar for a long time with no strain on fingers and hand.

Great full sound. Just an excellent guitar!

This is a great guitar, what a lady she is. I was on my way to the gig, and the UPS man drove up. She was right out of the box. I tuned her up, and she played a 2 hour gig w/me. It was like dancing with a new partner, but we figured each other out. This is a great guitar.

This is by far the best sounding guitar and best playing guitar I've ever played. It's like picking up an electric it fretts so easy. The sound is out of this world, the Fishman pickup is the cleanest sounding I've ever heard.
