The Martin Custom D Acoustic Guitar comes with simple appointments and a modest price that make it reminiscent of the 15 Series Martin guitars of the 1940s. The Custom D guitar eschews vintage all-mahogany construction for a select solid Sitka spruce top with lighter bracing for big projection. The guitar's solid East Indian rosewood back and sides produce ringing punch and sustain. The modified low-oval mahogany neck is set with a mortise-and-tenon neck joint and has an adjustable truss rod and solid Indian rosewood fingerboard. The body and neck are bound in tortoise-colored binding. The Custom D guitar also has a rosewood bridge, dot fretboard inlays, rosewood headstock overlay, and an inlaid single-ring rosette. Quantities of this custom Martin acoustic guitar are limited.

Best Deal For The Money

I've had mine now for 3 years and like any solid wood guitar it only gets better with time

it may not have the looks of a D-28 but then is not as much money either, however the sound is every bit as sweet as a D-28 and yes I have played one

along with being a great deal MF offer a great team from the time of sale to the delivery at your door, and I can't comment on the support team as I have never had any trouble with anything I bought from them

so my words of wisdom to you is buy it you wont be sorry

I have owned this guitar for over two years now and I am more impressed evry time I play some else's guitar. I have upgraded to ebony bridge pins and a bone saddle and it has made a world of difference. The guitar plays as sweet as it smells. I play mostly bluegrass and acoustic blues and I love it. Buy one before they go up in price again. Best bang for the buck on the planet. JJ

I recieved my Martin custom D today and am very pleased with it. Right out of the case it was tuned and ready to play. It was slightly smaller than I expected, but the tone is HUGE. Great punch on the low end and the highs ring on and on. If you're looking for an acoustic with an emphasis on sound, buy this guitar. Well worth the price.

I have had mine 1 week now. Was impressed the second I got it out of the case. Plays great, sounds better and the rosewood smells wonderful. I have played many of the lower priced solid wood guitars and it came down to the Martin custom D or the Larrivee D03R. Picked up the martin on sale and couldn't be happier.

MARTIN CUSTOM D

I have owned both the rosewood and mahagany in this guitar. I currently own the rosewood. The mahagany sounded great and the rosewood sounds really good too. I'm still waiting for the rosewood one to open up some more. With a little time and playing it will sound great. Action is very nice. One of the few guitars i can play that don't hurt my fingers, even with medium guage strings which this guitar needs to sound it's best. Looks plain but that's fine with me. I recently went to the music store and played many top brands and came back home to my martin custon d. For the money this is a bargin.
