After replacing the strings with some low tension SAVEREZ strings, this guitar stayed in tune and sounded great, not difficult to get use to playing sitting down, all in all, a very good value.

As a classical guitarist and having probably thousands of guitars, I'd say that this is pretty darn good for the price. Given its size as well, it produces a rediculously pleasant sound. Bright and quick to resonant frequency. The G string has the same issues as most other nylon stringed guitars and the b and D string sound to me to be a little bit "dry;" but again, if you are traveling, I don't know why you would take anything else with you. My interest in this is the fragility of a good classical- this little traveler was def. Built with changing climate cond. In mind.

The body size plays a critical role in the tone of the acoustic guitar. This is the main reason why I was so impressed with the sound and the tone delivered by the Nylon String backpacker. It sounds great for practice and/ or traveling. It takes a while to get used to playing it, but it is a well built instrument, and the sound will not dissapoint you. On the downside, the nut is too weak (Mine broke while tuning the included set of "x-light" strings), and I plain end strings sound much better than the included ball-end.

Excellent tonal quality and beautifully constructed! Love the easy portability for a plane or camper! Not too easy to play sitting down - the strap is a necessity to hold it in place! The quality of the instrument is A-1 - a "must have" for anyone who has to have their guitar "fix" while traveling!

Alright, my friend owns this guitar, and hes not as good as me. I ONLY reccomend buying this guitar IF you can really play. You cant play thing thing sitting down, nearly at all. He got this from our local music store. I played it, and don't get me wrong, it sounds amazing, but its just so hard to play! So do not buy this if you are a beginner because you'll regret it.
