Excellent price for the quality

I've been playing for a number of years and have been through quite a few guitars, including a Martin D15. Currently, I have a Taylor T5 Koa, Martin D1 (mid ninties model), Gibson Les Paul (The Paul) and now this Martin DC-1E. This Martin DC-1E sounds nearly as good as our Martin D1 from the mid ninties. After a couple years of playing this new guitar, I fully expect this DC-1E to open up like our older Martin. Straight out of the box, the action was really good. I think I can get it a little lower, but it certainly is very playable with its stock configuration. For the money, this Martin is an excellent guitar.

Best Guitar I've Ever Owned

When I pulled it out of the box, visions of quality was running through my mind having owned a martin before. This Martin 1 Series DC-1E is the best guitar I've ever owned. Check this out- I've owned a Seagull 25th Anniversary, Black Martin Acoustic-Electric, Charvel acoustic-Electric, 175th Anniversary Martin Pattern, Ovation 12 string Celebrity(nice), Alverez Acoustic-electric and a Carlo Robelli(why?). This USA Made Gem direct from Nazareth, PA is a god compared to those listed above. The wood alone is made of high quality and not of a lousy, fingerprinty, shiny gloss. Fishman did well on the electronics with the built in tuner that lights up green when in tune. EQ also has a phase feature that enables a slight chorus when plugged in. The down side is the price but you'll forget about that once it's in your hands. I like the idea of Martin bringing back the specs of a 1929 great depression model because quality guitars were a thing of the past. My grandfather, if alive, would've really liked this. Buy it and your done! Don't go through all those guitars that I did...it's rather costly.
