For the Money, You Can't Beat It

I own quite a few guitars, including six Martins, and I tend to play this one quite a bit. Being relatively inexpensive, as far as Martins go, this is the guitar I usually take out of the house. It has held up very well over the last couple years. The tone and playability of this 000 is unmistakeably Martin. The neck is very comfortable and the 000 body style fits like a glove. You get this guitar, the only thing you will find difficult is putting it down.
Sure, if you have the bucks, you may rather have a 000-28 or something, but for the money, I believe this little guitar is about the best you'll find.

This is the 2nd OOO I've owned. The 1st became a victim of divorce. It sported an Indian Rosewood back and sides. I found this OOO-M and after playing it quietly in the back of my local stringmeister's shop fell in love with the feel, sound and playability of this little beast.
The Mahogony back and sides give her a warm timbre with a mellow projection brought to life in the spruce top. The whole range from deep lows to sweet mids and bright trebles seeps from every note of this little guitar.
She frets easilly and encourages one to try new things on it to sonically challenge the musical palate you are able to create with this sweet axe. WHen I was ready to leave the store another customer commented on how well I played and sweet and rich the OOO sounded. That was it... I was back in about a half hour with a Taylor and some jack to make the trde complete and this sweet little instrument mine.
Martin quality is written all over the OOO-M and when you play it it is extremely evident attention to the instrument went into how it sounds and playes rather than appearance like so many other makers are doing now. I was very pleased as I've had some bad experiences with Martin over the last 15 - 20 years and didn't think I'd ever own another after that. But a Little Martin LXM changed all that and convinced me to look at Martin again like I did back in the 70's. I'm glad I did.
Martin is now once again producing, in my opinion, some of if not ,the, finest stringed instruments in the world. You have to shop a little and express yourself through the instrument and remember that unless you have some reason for absolutely, positively having a D-28 or some such, check out some of the less expensive plain Jane Martins like the OOO's and you might just find more than a guitar... a soul mate in music. That's what Martin Guitars are all about.

Best Deal On The Planet

After comparing it to the Eric Clapton Signature model back and fourth for about 2 hours I could not find a difference in tone between the two, actually the only difference I found was the $2500 + price difference. So don't let the price fool you.

I bought a 000-M from a friend. He didn`t like the high action. I bought it at a great price. After about a hour and a few bucks at a guitar luither. Action was lowered and a new set of strings. I can`t put it down. Great little guitar.

This has been my scratch and dent darling for a year now. The thin body and comfortable neck let me play for hours instead of minutes. It isn't boomy like the dread body's or overpowers your voice. It also stays in tune forever. She's a keeper.
