Ok. Yeah, it's sixty bucks. And, yeah, you get what you pay for. It's small, therefore it sounds small. We on the same page? That being said, it sounds awesome for what you're paying for. It gets loud, considering, it's only 10 inches tall. I recommend, for the best sound, to turn the gain all the way up, then turn the volume on your guitar way up, turn the volume to about 6-8, then you wanna keep off the bass. put your switch on treble or in between middle and treble. This will give you a fairly descent distortion. Kind of a British rock sound.
Now let's review: (1)You get what you pay for, (2)The darn thing is only 10 inches tall (3)Considering the previous facts, this is a sweet deal.

A cool little miniature Marshall

I bought the Micro Stack because it is a miniature version of the real deal and looks great with my collection of miniture instruments. The sound is alright considering it's in a plastic cabinet. You can fit it in your guitar case, plug headphones into it and play when ever you like. At the price it seems a little to much for this, but it looks so cool the price wasn't a concern for me.

Signature Marshall Sound

As a developing guitarist, I usually buy my equipment by price, not by brand loyalty. Since Marshall is such a huge name in the amp business, I thought I would try this as a travel amp to keep in my car if I ever needed to play on short notice. Once I received the amp, I immediately put in the battery and plugged my guitar in. I was blown away by the raw power that the little amp could put out. Its nothing like a Marshall Stack, but I didn't expect as good of sound as I got. As long as your not expecting something to blow you out of the water, this amp has a realistically good sound, and its a good thing to have if you need to keep the volume down.

I have played 70's and 80's hard rock rhythm guitar for over 20 years. I have always loved the Marshall sound but have never owned or even played through a Marshall. For years I have tried to dial in something close to that sound on the amps I have but have never been able to do it. I thought this was because my amps were all solid state. When I found this amp I was looking for a small practice amp that I could get overdriven distortion out of without annoying my wife. I got it, hooked up my guitar, and after a few minutes of adjusting the gain, tone, and volume, I finally had it: that Marshall distortion that I had been craving all these years! I find it amazing that this tiny solid state amp can produce this kind of tone and sustain. I have had it now for about three months and am playing now more than I have in years, the sound of this amp has inspired me that much. I can't recommend this amp enough!!
