The amplifier is good for a few short weeks, but after that the tone is real muddy unless turned down so low you can hear the actual guitar over the amplifier, which defeats the purpose of getting this. When I first got it I thought it was really good for 50 dollars, but after about two weeks it turned into crap. I suggest saving for money for a Peavey or a Line 6.

I got this at a music store.I tested it with some guitars. The guitar i got sounded fine I tested it in od and normal. Sounded fine. I took it home and then all kinds of problems happen.First i had to remove the washer from the in plug on my guitar for sound to go to the amp.Also if i dont put it on overdrive my guitar will be almost to louder then the amp/ i reccomand a practice amp im just beggining so this is not making my learning experience like it could.

this little amp is amazing. You just plug it in to your guitar and you can jam with some friends or just have fun any thing you want to do this thing is perfect. I would highly recommend to a friend.

I needed something in a pinch to amplify my acoustic/electric at a promo gig at a bookstore.

The first one wouldn't stay on-battery terminals were not bent enough to make consistent contact with the battery. (Thank goodness I was playing acoustic guitar, otherwise my gig would have been a bust). The replacement died about 3 months after I bought it, with very limited usage-(the nut & bolts fell off and the guitar cable won't make contact internally). Use a regular plug in amp if you NEED something in a live situation.

This is the best mini amp I have tried and/or own. for AC/DC tone set the volume on 5, tone on 7 on the "OD" channel. For heavier sounds, set the volume on 8 and tone on 4. have the tone cut back because high volume and high tone results in a high pitched squeal and not the dimebag squeal.
