Great Amp, but....

This is a great practice amp. It has great distortion and a great clean channel. There are two complaints I have though... 1) There is not foot switch that is accessable for this amp. So I can't switch from the great distortion to my other pedals by using my foot. 2) Its not that loud. I only played one gig with it, and i needed my eq pedal on full volume at all times.

Besides those minor fallbacks, its a very descent practice amp. But beware bringing it to gigs.

I've had this little guy for a couple years now and thought I'd share my thoughts.I'm over 50 but am still rockin' occasionally. I got this mainly to downsize. At first,I used the line out,and plugged it into the P.A. It works great. But now I use it with 4 10" cabs and its not miked. I use a digitech processor which ramps up the volume and don't have a problem being heard when we play. Thumbs up to Marshall for a back saving little amp.

I just got this amp I have played about 4 hours worth on it. From what I have seen from this amp it is a great practice amp but does not have GREAT volume. This amp is great for any type of playing the overdrive on it is fantastic. It has many controlls all of witch work great the only one that lacks a little is the reverb but other then that this amp is worth all its money. For those of you who are wondering it goes to about the lower waist of some one around 5'6"

This is a good amp for practice at home or maybe for recording if you're not a tone stickler. The contour knob is nifty and can get you some good sounds, but I think that the distortion lacks a little bit. This little head can pack a pretty big punch though. But not with the included cabs. With that setup, there's no way that it'll be loud enough for a show, but when plugged into a Marshall 4x12 cab, it can crank pretty well.

Trust me, I love this amp when it comes for distortion sound and overdrive espescially HOWEVER this amp will not get you CLEAN sounds, ever!! This amp breaks up into a overdrive sound even on the clean setting once you dial it past 5 on volume.....The Marshall name is very deceptive and overall save your money for a Tube amp or Fender or Peavy.
