Really great amp

When my uncle was moving, he let me borrow his Les Paul and his MG4. From then till he had to wrestle it out of my hands, I would spend as long as I could in my room playing guitar and playing with settings on this versatile and great sounding amp. I missed a lot of family dinners because of this amp.

It doesn't have as many features as some other similar amps I've played (I would have stolen it from my Uncle if it had an octaver effect), but the features it does have are top notch. Really fun delay and chorus. Nice, silky clean tones. Perfect for blues and Dad Rock. I can't say for sure that this is THE amp you want (a lot of my friends swear up and down by the Bandit, but it definitely has a good word from me.

Great tone and even better on clean channel with pedals. Owned this one a couple of months and it makes me want to practice its so pleasing to the ear and its better than any of the other small solid state or hybrid tube amps I have owned over the years. The perfect apt. amp. Get one and it will soon become your number one guitar toy.

MG amps get bad rap

I don't have this model of the MG series of amps, I have the older one, the MG 15 dfx. I've seen many reviews ripping these amps,but all I can say is these people must have crappy guitars, crappy pick ups or not know how to dial in a good setting with the EQ. I've had my MG amp since 2002 and I love it. The clean channel is beautiful and the distortion channel is good for all types of rock,but if your a metal purist, I would suggest putting a pedal in front like a boss metal zone. If your like me and cant go out and spend 2,000 to 3,000 on a marshall tube amp,then the MG series has you covered. I would highly recommend these amps to anyone on a buget who wants good tone.
