Bought this amp 3 days ago and I like it! I have 3 tube/combo amps in my gear. I decided to get one because of it's light weight, reviews here at MF and youtube. First, it's very versatile. You can dial in on different tones from classic to heavy or however you prefer it from the EQ knob and gain knob. The clean setting is pure marshall! I love the fact that this amp is very friendly with your effects pedal- I use boss pedals. The speaker is great and it gives you a clear and nice sound. I use this with an eq pedal. I would probably try to use this live--mic'd of course.

This amp provides very authentic Marshall high-gain sounds at bedroom levels and beyond. The suggested tone settings that are included in the manual help get you started at getting some tonal choices right out of the box. The clean channel is good for use as a pedal platform and the O.D. channel provides some complex sounding break-up at around 2-3 'O clock if you play with your guitar's volume control. And of course if you dime the gain it's prety much as one would expect; super saturated. I also like the fact that there are no FX.

I just got this little amp, and already, I like it. I've played with it in the studio for the lsat couple of days, and I've already used it to record a couple of new tunes. I really love having the smaller amp to practise, and recording at much lower levels is working out great. I do have a bunch of pedals along with a tube pre-amp plugged in front of this amp. With this, I find I can pretty closely emulate the full stack for the recordings. Although the "Dirty" channel isn't too bad, I don't have much use for it. I run everything through the clean channel. That's all I need, and it does deliver a great Marshall tone. I am a long time Marshall amp guy. I have played other amps, and there are many very cool outfits with their own unique features, but over time I find that I either play through Fenders or Marshalls, and Marshalls are my first choice.
